Review Time
I went into Up and Running Sheffield a couple of weeks ago to buy some road running shoes. I’m a keen fell/ trail runner who doesn’t normally run on roads. Amar was very helpful and knowledgeable. He listened to what I needed and after a gait analysis he showed me a good selection of suitable shoes. He patiently helped me get the correct fit including showing me how to secure the laces. I love the shoes I bought. They were perfect from day one. They are comfortable and light and running in them feels like a breeze. Thanks, I will definitely be back!
I visited the Sevenoaks store five months ago - Brian who helped me asked lots of questions and was super friendly and attentive - I got to do a free gait test with five different pairs of shoes before making a purchase on a pair of trail running shoes.
We then visited a second time for my partner, and Frazer was also incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, helping my partner pick out a pair of running shoes for the treadmill and fix an uneven gait. I even ended up buying a second pair of shoes after this as the personal service from this branch was just excellent!
As if that wasn’t enough, the colours we wanted weren’t in stock, so Alan the manager personally delivered my partners to our house once they were in stock. We moved house before mine arrived, and they were posted next day. Couldn’t recommend enough.
Up & Running Headingley is such a great part of the Leeds running community. They’ve got a great product range, and super friendly and knowledgeable staff. I love their social running group — it’s welcoming, inclusive, and the try‑on nights and workshops are a real bonus. Thanks to Megan, Tamirat and the whole team.
Had the absolute pleasure of having a new pair of running shoes fitted today by Viv! Very knowledgeable and helped me pick just the right shoes. Was so good in fact I bought my husband down in the evening and was served by Emily! In between the laughs we managed to get the perfect shoes for him!
There was no rush, we tested each shoe and received constructive feedback on each pair. As someone starting their running journey, I would 200% recommend Up and Running!

Store is dedicated to running shoes and not fashion, with ranges id never come across. Joshua was great. Very professional and friendly with a sense of humour. And very patient, he spent 45 minutes with me during which I tried on 12 pairs of shoes. Highly recommended, defo five star review
The guy who helped me (I can’t remember his name but I know he is Swedish!) was brilliant - he took over an hour of his time to help my find the right shoe for my new found running habits. His knowledge was fantastic and he took all the quirks I have into consideration. The shop atmosphere was great. I was a bit nervous when I first came in but the staff made the environment feel warm and welcoming.
Amar in Sheffield was fantastic, letting me and my partner try on different pairs of shoes to see what felt best and recommending different types. Would recommend using the store in Sheffield and if you get Amar helping you out, you're in good hands.
As a regular runner and walker, I was in urgent need of new trainers and had a great experience this morning at a local store. The manager was attentive to my preferences and provided a variety of options to try on. We eventually narrowed it down to three pairs, and she conducted a gait analysis on the treadmill to help me select the best fit for my feet. Excellent service! I will certainly return!
