Random review After years of incident free business, Now saying they're gonna hold twenty percent of all credit card processing for an additional ninety days. Currently have $6000 sitting in square. Unless I pay an additional percentage it is not transferring to my bank account. I wish my three small businesses leaving square made a dent. Hopefully this review will. Find A service that still cares about its customers. You can't even call and talk to anyone when you have an issue. I'm glad the response they provided clearly elaborated the faults in squares business. Small business stay far away.
Square is the best. I had a scammer named Jennifer Morgan try to scam me out of $2000.00 for a house rental. She told me to deposit the money so that she would hold the property for me and not rent it to anyone else. I paid her through Paypal from my Square bank account. Then when it came time to sign the lease, she cancelled the contract and said she was not going to move and was not giving me my $2000.00 as she was drunk at 8am climbing into my hot tub that I had moved to the property. I contacted Square and they promptly investigated the videos I sent them and messages showing proof of her deception and resolved the issue within days.
While I had my business, using square was very easy. One day I hope to come back to it but in the meantime I can’t say enough good things about it. Even after failing to cancel the subscription they were quick to refund the yearly fee and cancel it for me. Very friendly and helpful.
Paid a contractor through square using my checking account. Square held funds for no explained reason. I have no recorce to get funds back and they say they they cannot talk with me. They say to contact the contractor.Square space responded to my review by asking me to reach out to them through social media? Who does that. I called multiple times to talk to a real person and they wouldn't do it. They said to protect their client, my contractor, they couldn't total to me...even if the contractor was on the phone and consented...Square held the funds for 90 days before releasing to the contractor. They had Uber $13,000 of my money interest free for 90 days and my job was held up until funds were released. Seem unlawful to me...
