Review Time
UPDATE: I still have not heard back from Square regarding this issue. I've been told multiple times that they would get back to me once they know more but it has been weeks and I still have not received an update. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I've been trying to resolve the same issue for the last WEEK and have been transferred multiple times. Each time, i'm asked to describe the issue and i'm sent a list of the same questions. They do not send transcripts of your previous conversations so I have to do the same thing over and over just to get transferred to another person and then do it all again. HORRIBLE customer service
I did have great customer service once I was put through to an actual human. The process to get there was cumbersome and annoying, and involved a pre-recorded message when I called in during daytime hours. It directed me back to the unhelpful bot, with the call abruptly ending. Otherwise, until their decision to start charging additional fees for debit, I was quite pleased with Square. That decision has led me to find a cheaper payment process company and bonus for me, it’s a Canadian company.
Square helped me resolve an issue I had regarding credit card authorization forms. I was not aware of this until recently. It helps protect and cover business owners basis if customers may dispute a product or service AFTER, the fact of the sale or service has been performed, honored or even final invoiced. I would most definitely suggest this form to anyone in the contracting business who may run an C or S Corp and/or LLC!!
Square has made taking payments extremely easy, it's user interface is very simple. You add certain items to your Square reader so if you order a scanner it'll make it that much easier. You can use it anywhere with your phone and Bluetooth. Best credit/debit card reader I've had so far.
Square's decision to deactivate my account and hold my funds for an extended 90-day period has left me in financial despair for the past six months. The lack of updates and failure to release the funds as stated in their deactivation email reflect poorly on Square's commitment to their users.
