DO NOT trust Vanguard Investments, especially out of El Paso, Texas, with any of your finances. I have waited for six weeks for having my IRA retirement account funds transferred to my bank from Vanguard Investments. I finally contacted the Texas State Attorney General's Office for looking into this matter of Vanguard withholding my IRA Investment funds from me.

I would give 0 stars if able. Horrendous customer service to not very well trained staff. I needed to withdraw funds after losing my job in December and am still waiting for the funds to be deposited so I can avoid eviction. a very tedious and time consuming process to have the funds deposited. Empower retirement is so much better!

Vanguard's service is extremely disappointing!

The service is extremely disappointing! I've encountered over ten representatives who were incompetent and unhelpful, compared to just two who seemed trained. One representative even had two children yelling in the background. Trusting them with assets is something that should be approached with great caution.

Frustrating experience with customer service

I attempted to withdraw a small amount from my previous employer and reached out to customer service. They asked me the most frustrating security questions without even verifying my account information, which prevented me from moving forward. Thankfully, it was just a small amount, as it seems they might be struggling and are looking for ways to delay transactions.

Helpful support despite a long wait

I made a contribution to my IRA for the 2025 tax year on 12/31/25, but it was recorded for the 2026 tax year. After reaching out, I was connected to a representative who placed me on hold but ultimately resolved the issue. Excellent service overall. The only downside was the hour-long wait, but the assistance I received was worth it.

Unacceptable Service from Supervisors and Agents

🚩🚩🚩The supervisors and agents from this company are among the most difficult individuals I have ever encountered. It appears that this behavior is ingrained within the organization, potentially stemming from the top leadership. It's hard to understand how an investment company can maintain such a low rating and still expect clients to trust them with their finances. This is simply unacceptable.

🚩🚩🚩The supervisors and agents at this company are among the worst I've ever dealt with. Their behavior seems to be a systemic issue, likely originating from upper management. It’s hard to fathom why an investment firm would have such a low rating while asking clients to trust them with their money. This situation is completely unacceptable.

Frustrating Account Access Issues

I was unable to log into my account while in Italy, and they couldn't verify my identity via text or call due to it being international. After a long wait, I spoke to a third representative who put me on hold and then never returned. I had to call back and explain everything to three different people again. Additionally, I was charged $25 simply because there was no email verification option.
