Just called customer service to get help with my vanilla giftcard. Bought it at walgreens (why is walgreens selling this crap??) - I cant use the card anywhere even after activation and have had it for over 5 days now. Support is literally useless, they cant do anything at all, this whole business is a scam. I have an account an asked for this balance to be moved from physical to a e-gift card so that I can assign my address, but I was told I cant do it. Terrible customer service, guy just keeps talking and not listening to anything I try to say, waste of money and time. Save yourself the headache and NEVER buy from these people. This company needs to be investigated and possibly shut down.

Received a tampered card as a gift

I got a card as a gift, but when I opened the packaging, it was clear it had been tampered with: the last four digits of the card number and the security code were scratched off. I reported the issue, but it's been over a week with no response. When I checked my case status, it showed as resolved, yet I haven't heard anything! The instructions said to call customer service for more details, but there’s no option to speak to a representative, and the system just hangs up if you press too many buttons. This experience has been extremely frustrating and feels very untrustworthy.

Frustrating Experience with Fraud Prevention Measures

While I value the effort to combat fraud, excessive measures can hinder legitimate transactions. I attempted to purchase several gift cards for the holidays and verified my identity multiple times. Even with my credit card's fraud control team assisting me, the service approved and then rejected my attempts. This was incredibly frustrating. Ultimately, I decided to go with another gift card provider, who also conducted a fraud check but successfully approved my transaction.

I bought three gift cards in August 2025, and I've encountered nothing but problems trying to use them, along with poor support from the service and the retailer where I got them. I won't be buying these again and would advise family and friends to steer clear.

Incredible Disappointment and Embarrassment

On the first day I received the card, I attempted to use it at a retail location, but it was declined at three different registers. I reached out to the support team, who responded quickly. Unfortunately, they informed me that the card was compromised due to the multiple attempts at that location. They said I would need to wait 7 to 10 business days for a new card, potentially longer due to the holiday season. I expressed my urgent need for the groceries I was trying to purchase, but they offered no solutions. This experience left me feeling embarrassed and frustrated. I wouldn't recommend giving this to loved ones, as they could end up in a similar situation.
