If you’re considering Vanity Van Lines, I highly recommend a different strategy: set your furniture on fire and watch it burn. It will be faster, less stressful, and you’ll at least know where your belongings are.
This was hands down the most chaotic, unprofessional, and baffling moving experience I’ve ever had. Communication was nonexistent, timelines were treated like vague fan fiction, and the handling of my furniture looked less like “moving” and more like an audition for a demolition crew.
At several points I genuinely wondered if this company was some kind of social experiment to see how much frustration a customer can tolerate before losing their mind.
The most impressive part is the consistency — every single step of the process managed to go wrong. Delays, confusion, zero accountability… it’s like they sat down and asked, “What’s the worst possible way to run a moving company?” and then committed to the bit.
If incompetence were an art form, Vanity Van Lines would be the Louvre.
One star only because the review system won’t let me give negative five.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANYDO NOT USE THIS COMPANYQuoted my wife $1600 to move us from Houston to Florida Pass, the night before tried to jack up the price and we said no because of our previous agreement that we had on a text from them. They then came in a smaller truck knowing it wouldn’t be big enough. Got all they could get into the truck got to our destination, moved a few things upstairs the dropped everything else in the foyer of our business and just left saying “We Done”. Now we’re out more money having to rent a U-Haul truck to finish what they were paid to do. I’m also a disabled veteran and an amputee and not able to move anything up the stairs. They also don’t have there own trucks they rent from U-Haul.Wish I could give 0 stars, because that’s what this company is worth.
Used this company for my most recent move and would not recommend — decent prices but you get what you pay for unfortunately. Their movers dented the wood floors in one of my bedrooms, put a very deep scratch in the wood flooring of a hallway, and put many knicks in the ceiling above my stairwell. They even suggested I take photos of the ceiling prior to beginning the move (which I did) so there was clear evidence of the damage caused by them. I called the company to discuss remediation and they said they’re not at fault for any damage incurred to my home by their movers and that they’re only responsible for the items they moved from one location to another. Would not recommend.
