This company’s returns policy completely misrepresents the real situation. I believe it’s actually deceitful. Velora UK have no stores in the UK, only a business address which you can’t return goods to. If you read their returns policy it makes it sound so quick and easy and straightforward. But in fact their goods are shipped over from China, so receiving them isn’t quick. I wanted to return a hair styling kit which I hadn’t used (In the interim I’d found a better alternative). I was informed I had to pay all shipping costs to return the item to China together with customs duties and a restocking fee. Combined, these costs amounted to almost the same as I’d paid for the item in the first place, making it not worth my while to return it. The Velora UK sales director who I had emailed about this return admitted as much. Be warned, this is not a company on the side of the customer!
Do not purchase! Abort abort abort! Cheap product, not effective and returns policy that goes completely against consumer rights. Returns info cited on their website fails to say you will be charged a) return charge to China b) a fee for ‘restocking the item’ aka putting back on a shelf (!) and c) customs fee. They make it so difficult that you just give up. Do not give up. This is against your consumer rights. Report to Trading Standards those who have had issues. And to those thinking of purchasing, don’t do it!! Stick to GHDs, Cloud 9 or a similar UK SELLER!
Really do not order from here. They are a Chinese company saying they’re based in the UK, selling a product that is available elsewhere for about £15 and selling it for a vastly inflated price and passing it off as their own. They then won’t let you cancel the order. Do your research before ordering and don’t make the mistake I did!
I'd never used styling tools before, and this hair styling set was surprisingly easy to learn. The straightening comb is basically just brushing, and I like that the curling iron has clear temperature markings so I don't worry about burning my hair.
My wife purchased a Hair Curler from Veloratech and received a product made by SheGlam in a package that looked like it had been steam rollered. Complained and told to test if it was working but have refused as it may be electrically damaged.Same problem as other reviewers - after about 10 email exchanges they finally sent me an address in China to send it to, after I refused a 12% discount. They have also refused to pay return shipping costs.Absolute scam.
