Ver Vanlines was in an accident when they moved me. There was a fire and it was a total loss of everything we owned. Two other family's things were on that truck as well. They hired an under-age driver from Morocco, therefore, their insurance refuses to cover. Thankfully, my renter's insurance stepped up, but it was only part of what I needed to replace our lifetime of goods. Now, VER Vanlines has closed shop under the old name and started a new company to keep from being sued. It won't work. They still owe me over $50K and we won't stop until they are held fully accountable. The owners are extremely dishonest people and we were lied to several times during the moving process. I'll keep posting to keep everyone informed of all the information my attorney uncovers, so you won't get defrauded like we did.
AVOID THIS SERVICE! This has been the absolute worst experience I've had with a moving company. They exceeded the 21-day delivery window, and I later learned they were involved in an accident. The police report indicated negligence related to vehicle maintenance and reckless driving. The truck caught fire, resulting in the loss of all my belongings. Additionally, the broker informed me that two other families also had their items completely destroyed. We submitted a total loss claim, and were told these claims are usually resolved by the insurance within two weeks. However, we have been left in an empty home for over three months without any updates. Legally, they are required to provide full replacement value. The claims adjuster from their own cargo insurance company mentioned that they haven't even filed a claim for their truck yet. This service is dishonest. I wouldn't trust them. My attorney plans to initiate a class action lawsuit involving the other families and anyone else who has raised complaints with the regulatory agency.
Workers entered my grandmother's house, opened every box, and stole valuable items. Not only did they take things, but they also failed to deliver half of the boxes. They attempted to hold my grandmother's belongings hostage and also damaged her furniture. This company is a scam.

I also urge brokers to reconsider giving jobs to this company, as they do not uphold commitments to their employees, putting more individuals at risk of mistreatment. He worked as a mover, undertaking exhausting long-distance jobs only to be denied payment for his labor. They kept making excuses and left him empty-handed after weeks of hard work. It wasn't just him; another friend, a U.S. citizen, had a similar experience. This company exploits workers, particularly immigrants who may not know how to defend their rights. They demand overtime without pay and attempt to silence complaints. Moreover, during my visit to their office, I witnessed multiple customers expressing anger and filing complaints about stolen items, including jewelry and electronics. Some even reported bedbug infestations in their furniture after the move. This is clearly a widespread issue affecting both workers and customers. Please think carefully before hiring them; there are many reputable moving companies out there, but this one is only interested in taking advantage of people.
The service was unreliable, but more troubling was the sense that I supported unethical practices. Some workers seemed new to the country and expressed uncertainty about receiving their pay. It’s disheartening. No one should profit from the desperation of others. I urge everyone to avoid this company.
