On the 10/12/2025 from 1pm to 4pm, I reserved an event room for a wake, accommodating 30 people at a cost of £21 per person, totaling £630. However, only 18 attended. The food provided was insufficient for the 18 guests, let alone the 30 I had planned for, which breached our agreement. I received an email inquiring why I hadn't notified anyone about this, but the only staff member present was a bartender. Additionally, there was a lack of cutlery, and the glasses had visible lipstick marks from previous use. Overall, it was a disappointing and poorly organized event by the staff, making a difficult day even harder for my family.

The bathroom had mould and filth in the sink waste, with peeling dust on the ceiling and walls. The air conditioning was dirty, and the lights were flickering. Additionally, check-in took two hours longer than expected despite prior arrangements. This was just the first evening.
As a member for 10 years, I was frustrated when they chose to refurbish the gym in October instead of during the holiday break. The temporary gym was nearly unusable, and with the recent influx of new members, it felt overcrowded. My complaint received a generic response, and I was later contacted by enforcement agents without any personal communication. The lack of human support and ongoing equipment issues are unacceptable.
I pay over £600 annually for gym membership, but parking is always a challenge due to hospital visitors and ongoing construction. They should revert to requiring registration numbers for members. I've also learned that the hotel accommodates asylum seekers who can use the gym and pool. I won’t be renewing my membership.
I encountered misleading advertising for a Black Friday deal that promised special prices. However, when I tried to book, I was met with a countdown timer but no actual offer. Customer service treated me dismissively, with no apologies for their misleading tactics.
While they have a 'can we fix it' option for guests, it offers very limited choices with no free text option. Contacting the hotel leads to a bot, and my room had issues like a malfunctioning door lock and a bathroom light switch that only worked partially. It’s frustrating not to have real support.
At the location, I was charged a £15 early check-in fee, but my room wasn’t ready until around 15:15, past the normal check-in time. I was asked to wait in the restaurant while they finished the room. Now, I'm being ignored regarding a refund, and the reception staff was rude.
I booked a room but couldn’t travel due to snow. When I asked to move my booking to a later date, I received no assistance. They strictly adhered to their terms and conditions, showcasing extremely poor customer service. I advise against booking with this company.
