Highly Recommend This Exceptional Hospice Team

If you are in search of a remarkable hospice team of physicians, nurses, and aides, I strongly recommend this service for your loved one. I encountered the most supportive and compassionate team imaginable. My mother was in palliative care with them for four years. Since she couldn't attend doctor visits, the physician came directly to our home to provide essential medication and care. This level of commitment and personalized attention significantly enhanced her comfort and our family's peace of mind. The staff consistently exhibited professionalism, kindness, and empathy. Their readiness to go the extra mile ensured that my mother received the best possible care in the most convenient and comforting manner. This hospice truly exemplifies what such care should be: a team that emphasizes dignity, compassion, and family support during life’s toughest moments. As time passed, my mother declined and entered full hospice care for her last month. During this period, the nurses and doctor were exceptional. They treated her like family, displaying genuine love and compassion in every interaction. Their care not only eased my mother’s final days but also provided our family with comfort and peace. We felt supported, respected, and embraced by the team. The kindness they showed transcended medical care—it was heartfelt and made a significant difference. This hospice provided dignity, compassion, and love when we needed it the most. I will always be thankful for how they cared for my mother and for us as a family.

Outstanding Hospice Service

My father received care from the service from June 2023 until his passing in October 2025. From start to finish, the team provided exceptional support. They guided us through the entire journey with grace, ensuring my father received the best care possible until his last moments. Every team member treated both my father and our family with kindness, professionalism, and compassion. We are profoundly grateful to the team for allowing us to be with my dad at home, surrounded by family, with dignity and love until the end. We feel truly blessed to have had such a wonderful team by our side during this challenging time.

Good Care, But a Disappointment

My mother is a hospice patient at an assisted living facility. Nurse Tayne Huergo was my mother's hospice nurse for at least a month before she was abruptly transferred. I would have rated the service five stars if not for this transfer. If you have Nurse Tayne caring for your loved one, consider yourself fortunate. I am disappointed by her transfer, as her replacement, while efficient, lacks the compassion she had. I cannot express how much I valued her care, and I feel emotional dealing with the loss of such a wonderful caregiver.

Disappointing Experience

I was referred to the service while my husband was in the hospital. After an assessment, he was enrolled, and upon his release, we expected quality care. Unfortunately, various incidents occurred involving staff, including theft and arguments over medication. I witnessed a nurse rummaging through my personal belongings and found broken furniture in my husband's room. After reporting these issues, I received inadequate responses, and even after my husband's passing, I was left with unresolved concerns. I feel that my husband's dignity was overlooked, and the care he received was far from acceptable.

Heartbreaking Lack of Support

I write this with a heavy heart after the painful experience my family had with the service while my brother was under their care. We asked the supervising nurse to classify my brother as imminent for proper comfort measures, but this request was denied. When he began to shut down, help was delayed, and we faced immense challenges in securing pain relief. Tragically, my brother passed away suffering without the needed medication. This experience was inhumane, and we felt let down when we needed compassion and support the most.

Unacceptable Behavior from Staff

The care my father received was mostly positive, except for one aggressive respiratory therapist. When I asked a simple question about equipment, he responded condescendingly and refused to engage respectfully. This behavior upset my terminally ill father and made me feel embarrassed and unheard. After 40 years in healthcare, I would never treat a grieving family this way. Such conduct is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the service overall.

Poor Communication and Service

The service was supposed to assist my brother, who passed before they could help. For seven months, they continued sending letters with my name misspelled despite my requests to correct it. I don't understand why they persist in sending mail to a name that doesn't exist anymore.

Chaotic and Unprofessional

Reflecting on my experience with the service over a decade ago still brings me distress. I dismissed them less than 24 hours before my father's passing, switching to another provider. There were numerous administrative issues, and while some nursing staff were excellent, the overall management was chaotic. Deliveries were late, and essential comfort items were often not provided. I had to focus on their demands instead of my father's needs, which was deeply upsetting. I would advise against using this service based on my experience.

Serious Concerns About Care Quality

As a quality manager, I noticed significant issues with the service. I had to request specific care products and educate staff about wound care, which should not be necessary. Their logistics and delivery were ineffective, and many required items were unavailable without notice. This indicates serious problems in their care management. I would not recommend this service to families in need.
