Review Time
We are vegans and we like good fresh food, ideally non-ultra-processed and not taken from a freezer and heated.My wife ordered pulled shiitake byod, but we found out the 'pulled shiitake' is from the freezer and reheated. If Wagamamas is going to heat frozen food, they should at least inform the customer.We also found the service disappointing, and we had to keep asking the staff for service as they were more interested in chatting to each other than checking on the customers.When we have interacted with staff, they have been helpful and tried to ensure our dining experience is enjoyable.We saw a few problems at the restaurant; it is not perfect, but it is better than most.
All the food ordered was very tasty but I am disappointed with the service and personality of one member of staff. There was no sign or member of staff at front to say " Please wait for here for service " so as there were plenty of seats, both inside and out, we sat down outside. A member of staff came over and told us we shouldn't have done that. We all felt as if we were being told off by a teacher! Food came before drinks were served and it was just put on the the table in silence. Normally at a restaurant, the waiter/waitress would say what the food was and ask who ordered it but not here! All our food was also served at different times. Once we had all finished, we weren't asked if we wanted desserts or anything else. Instead, the bill was just provided. This felt like the waitress just wanted us out asap. I honestly don't think I'll be going here again.
Shocking experience at Wagamama’s Bedford.We got there it wasn’t busy there were 4 other customers eating. We were ignored by the waitresses and waited 20 minutes to be seen the poor chef had to come and tell us to take a seat because the waitresses were ignoring us. We were then waiting for menus for over 10 minutes so we just got up and got the menus ourselves. While all this was happening the 3 waitresses were having a conversation for ages instead of taking food orders. When we ordered our puddings they sat on the side of the counter for about 10 minutes and the waitress saw they were there but carried on having a conversation with another waitress. When we finally got our puddings they were melted and soggy. We also ordered drinks which they forgot. If they were busy it would be totally explainable but the fact there was only 4 other people and 3 waitresses in there is shocking.Wagamamas is too expensive for shocking service.
I've placed an order for collection at 20.40. After arriving at the restaurant to collect my order is not even on the system and I am now waiting for a rush order to be cooked, on my wifes birthday. Also the staff have offered me no hospitality for the inconvenience. Shocking!
6 15pm, Saturday. Should be quietish. It was packed...The staff could not have been more helpful, professional or engaging. Fast and efficient, nothing too much trouble. Special shout to Lexi and Joel, couldnt be faulted... also every staff member we interacted with was just sd good as one could hope.Food was excellent. Love to see the chefs working. Had several side dishes, we loved it. They even managed an all the service crew Happy Birthday sing-a-long.Perfect. :)
