After an initial successful trip to a destination, our second experience with the service was highly disappointing. In a recent city, we were given a hotel room that clearly fell short of the booked standard: it appeared to be unused for a long time, lacked natural light, faced a grim inner courtyard filled with trash, and had an unpleasant smell. The standard room we expected was only available for an additional fee, which was not part of our agreement. Reaching out to the support team via messaging did not yield any solutions, and their service ended around 7:00 p.m. local time, leaving us without help. The hotel manager was unhelpful, and it felt like the subpar room allocation was a tactic to extract extra payment. That evening, we had no choice but to leave the hotel with our luggage and find a suitable accommodation on our own, which met the quality we initially anticipated from our booking. The service has denied our request for reimbursement for the hotel portion. We waited three months before sharing this review to allow ample time for resolution or a refund. To this day, we have received no response from the company. A voucher for a future trip is not a viable solution for us, as we will not be using this service again. It seems that hotel selections are based solely on online reviews, with no personal inspections conducted. We are baffled by how this particular hotel managed to receive its rating.

The regular standard room was only available for an additional charge, which was not part of our booking.Contacting Waynabox via WhatsApp support did not result in any solution, and the support service ended around 7:00 p.m. local time, leaving us without assistance. The hotel manager was unfriendly, and the situation gave the impression that the inferior room allocation was intended to force an extra payment.That same evening, we had no reasonable alternative but to leave the hotel with our luggage and book a suitable hotel at our own expense, which matched the quality originally expected from our Waynabox booking.Waynabox has refused to reimburse the hotel portion. We deliberately waited three months before posting this review to allow sufficient time for clarification or a refund. To date, there has been no response from the company.A voucher for a future trip is not an acceptable solution for us, as we will not travel with Waynabox again. Our impression is that hotel selection relies solely on online ratings and that accommodations are not personally inspected. We were open to a 5day getaway anywhere in Europe, and everything went perfectly. The flight times were very convenient (9:10 for the outbound and 19:40 for the return). We really liked the hotel with breakfast included. We’ll definitely do it again.
I used Waynabox 3 times since April and can only recommend it. The organisation was always spot on! Hotels are clean and well located! Near public transport and attractions. The flights were always first in the morning and last at night so had 3 full days there. There is no mental load to find a flight and an hotel: it feels like a real holiday .And I love having to wait last minute to find out where I am going! On another positive, anytime I contacted Waynabox they were so quick to reply so didn’t feel I was sent somewhere and left by myself.
Waynabox offers a fun and original travel experience — the surprise destination adds excitement and spontaneity. My trip took me to Vienna, a charming city, although not at its peak in August.There were a few issues: the hotel was quite far from the city center, and complications with a Ryanair booking led to a €110 check-in fee at the airport. Initially, support was slow and communication could have been better.That said, Waynabox took responsibility. They fully refunded the extra check-in cost and offered a €50 voucher as an apology for the hotel location. I appreciated their willingness to make things right — it's reassuring to see accountability in this kind of service.In the end, despite some bumps, Waynabox proved to be responsive and customer-focused. I'd consider booking again.
Everything was amazing 👏 The destination, the flights and the hotel.We choose three days trip in Europe to celebrate my husband's birthday and they sent us to Athens. The flight was early in the morning to go and late on the return to home. We've enjoyed a lot the city as there is a lot to do, also we run away from the European winter for a litte bit, excellent choice. The hotel as stunning, they gave us free breakfast and a welcome wine bottle. I've already recommended them to all my coworkers and friends. For sure I will do it again!!
