With using a wheelchair, a broken lift has a huge impact on my life. I was super happy that the engineer turned up so quickly and was able to repair my through floor lift, allowing me to be independent again.
I can recommend Wessex lifts for anyone considering putting in a lift (through floor lift in my case), knew exactly what was required, where best to site and sorted everything out inc building control, the fitters were great, very tidy and no mess and the building company they use for the building work were also brilliant (bathroom mobility Manchester who did the work on the bedroom and accessible bathroom)
Booked my service on my stair lift but had to cancel it a couple of time's once my fault the other theirs. Today the service engineer came, his name was simon, the service is now done,what a brilliant job it's like new, thank you wessex and thank you simon

Originally purchased the lift in late 2021. It stopped working after 6 months. Support from Wessex was completely useless. The local dealer was finally able to diagnose the problem. Since then the lift has randomly failed 3 times, and then a week or two after each failure, just started working again. Now the door solenoid doesn’t work, and to no surprise, Wessex support is useless.
Had a curved stairlift fitted for my parents. Company could not have been more helpful making the process easy to follow from the surveyor who initially attended to the fitters on the day of installation. Very attentive and helpful staff who dealt with elderly couple. The lift was installed within a day and clear instructions on how to use the lift shown on site and also written instructions were left. Parents were delighted with the lift and its installation. Also great after care service plan giving peace of mind. The company were happy to speak to my parents when they forgot certain operating procedures. However, it's been a quality product so the product has not had any operating issues. needed.
9 vists to repair the faulty door , now lift keeps stopping first thing in morning ,third engineer vist tommoro same fault by supplier condor care . do not buy a wessex lift there rubbish quality .engineer came today 10th ordered new main pcb board from wessex lifts only 6 mths old as said rubbish lift to date and wessex lied saying warranty is with candor care not them the manufacturer thats not true candor care get pcb board under warranty from wessex lifts i really hate liers too be warned .if you was old and infirm you wouldnt want this upset and worry . my advice get diff lift from diff manufacturer fitted new board 17th dec this morning 18th dec lift failed again total rubbish .28th dec lift failed again .29th dec lift failed again ,30th dec lift failed again .2nd jan 2025 lift failed again
The through floor lift installation work and positive customer care approach could not have been better. It was on time and smooth. Special mention must go to Dave and the team at Empire builders. Their knowledge, hard work and general tidiness is unusual nowadays.If after care is to this standard they will deserve another 5 star review.
