When I purchased another product, I received a "free" £35 whisky voucher. However, to redeem the voucher, I was asked to pay £10 for delivery. That’s when the trouble began. A monthly subscription was activated without my clear consent – something I absolutely do not want. The cost is £35 for a small bottle of whisky.You can’t cancel the payments through your bank card, and although they claim you can cancel the membership online, in practice, it doesn’t work. They force you to call them directly, but I don’t want to talk to them. I took the offered voucher, but I don’t want the subscription, and I don’t want any communication with this company.In my view, this is nothing but a scam – a manipulative trap designed to extract money. Technically set up in a way that makes it deliberately difficult to opt out, just to keep charging people. Absolutely disgraceful and unethical business practice.I ended up blocking Whisky 52 and reporting this scheme to my bank. 11.08.2025 update. Please provide the email address for subscription cancellation, as the system does not allow me to proceed without your approval.
Spoke to Glenn to cancel my subscription and he was so friendly, helpful and professional. Glenn let me know what offers were available and I feel I got a really good deal.The products are great quality and a nice little present for the family
I've been a subscriber to Beer52 for many years and took up their offer for a free bottle for Whisky52. I let the subscription carry on because the quality was exceptionally high. For various reasons, I've had to pause my subscription, and I wasn't looking forward to ringing the cancellation line, but I spoke to someone called Kaye who made the whole process very pleasant and very easy? I am looking forward to subscribing again when I'm able.
