Three weeks after moving in, the stair rail began to detach from the wall, and the cooker failed to work on the first day. The company refused to replace it, forcing us to wait three weeks for a repair. The dishwasher door broke on the first day, injuring my toe, and the solar inverter malfunctioned on the second day. All extractors failed on the first day, taking a week to replace. The garage flooded, ruining many of our belongings, as we were not informed it wasn't suitable for storage due to poor construction that didn't meet standards. After a month, the stairs came away from the wall entirely, and several windows were damaged and needed replacement. We moved in not just with ourselves but also with a rodent infestation, which the company dismissed despite prior evidence. The bathroom floor buckled and had to be replaced, and the upstairs toilet leaked, ruining the flooring. The shower tray also fell, creating gaps. The main bedroom floor began creaking, revealing a large section that wasn't properly secured after plumbing work. A hole appeared in the kitchen wall, which was poorly patched with waste paper instead of proper materials. The inconsistency in plasterboard throughout the house is evident, and while some repairs have been made, we are still waiting for the entire home to be addressed. In January, we are scheduled to have all windows resealed due to discoloration and detachment. The list of issues is extensive, and now, a year later, we are still struggling to have things fixed. This has been the worst home buying experience we've ever had.
Had I been aware in April 2025 of the issues I now face, I would never have considered placing a deposit on a home from this company. Since moving in October 2025, it's been nothing but trouble. There was no proper handover, missing keys, and no instructions for appliances. I received no paperwork or records for appliance services either. The windows don’t fit properly, resulting in strong draughts—I'm baffled by the figures from the so-called tests conducted. The doors are poorly fitted, and the dishwasher is already non-functional. Built-in appliances have warped doors, and bath panels are falling off. The overall quality is far from satisfactory. There are gaps under the kitchen cupboards due to missing cement, and mortar is lacking around the windows. The seals on the front door are also absent, allowing more wind to come through. We've had to buy items and cover repair costs ourselves just to make the home livable. While you might receive Smeg appliances, they are the most basic models available. The kitchen features cheap textured worktops that are hard to keep clean. On moving day, washer fittings had to be adjusted due to incorrect plumbing. I cannot recommend this company to anyone. Even after four years, residents from the first phase are still experiencing issues. Once they have your money, they seem disinterested.
