Review Time
Bought few lots from shoton point branch a month+ ago. Not enough that they missed items in the package, so now when i contacted them with this issue last Monday their manager himself promised to send the missed items to me. Provided tracking no. for order collection. And since the day they promised to do that, system still shows that they didn't even prepared items for collection. The service booked last Tuesday is guaranteed next day delivery and i'm waiting for a week to get the items. Previews time they took more then a month to dispatch items. Customer service none existent, managers either don't care about providing proper service or they just not competent enough. With every single time i buying something from them, i'm loosing motivation to do that again.
I have had a number of transactions with Wilson’s Auctions Dublin and can give you my Honest opinion/review.
Firstly the deposit is a complete scam as I have waited months at times for it to be returned to my bank account.
I have attended many on site auctions to see slippery Ricky and other auctioneers mislead and take fictitious bids from the wall or floor.
All cars, trucks, and vans have a non disclosed reserve price on them so it’s a complete waste of time. Not only are you bidding against phone bidders, on line bidders, floor bidders, auctioneers fictitious wall bidders but you have the non disclosure reserve to exceed to be successful. The odds are very much stacked against you to get yourself a bargain.
Just watch how many previous so called sold vehicles go up week after week for auction in following auctions.
If you are successful in bidding you have the shock of very dubious vat charges on the hammer price along with auction fees +vat surcharge, administration charge, cash handling charge, program/ catalog charge and the hassle to get your deposit back and vehicle documentation.
With such questionable practices I can’t understand how this auction house has an auctioneer license not to mention carry out auctions on behalf of the state bodies and some very reputable car main dealers.
Avoid before you pay far too much for pure dissatisfaction and disappointment.
I have gone to auctions all over Ireland and in the uk and this one takes the biscuit for sure.

Terrible customer service. I needed to pack my lots in first days of December and it took them more then two weeks to do that. Now I need to pack my lots again, I have requested it and nor I got confirmation that they recaved my request nor I got my lots packed trough all day. And this is pretty common practice here. It's becoming very annoying. If they are understaffed then hire more people. Does management don't care that their staff can't keep up with work load?
Belfast office - They are quick to take your money then its radio silence. No one in this company seems to be capable of responding to a simple email. Exceptional a customer is when you buy something you should be able to get it but wilsons are reluctant to release the item bought. Pathetic customer service
Company appear helpful when you ring but refer you to email someone. then is unresponsive to emails and don't return calls. Very frustrating when you spend significant money. If you cannot respond in a timely manner then hire more staff. Completely DISRESPECTFUL ignoring your buyers and leaving them in limbo. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
Wilson’s auctions in dalry were Great to deal with however I can not say the same for their branch in Belfast their government repossession auction avoid like the plague iv had Rolex’s that’s don’t work iv had a AP with non genuine parts I bought a Audi RS4 which couldn’t be used as DVLA had a marker not to release a V5 for the car and latterly I bought a 3.30 carat diamond solitaire which when I got it checked its worthless due to the internal damage on the stone , this has been going on for two months and they have had the ring returned and I’m just getting ignored DO NOT BUY FROM THIS AUCTION UNLESS THE ITEM HAS BEEN CERTIFIED EXTERNALLY
Bought a grade 2 car through Wilsons auctions that turned out to have a red oil light displayed. It also had 2 flat tyres which needed tyre valves replaced, as they wouldnt inflate. After calling out the AA they told us that a degraded wetbelt was the cause. We transported the car back to Wilsons within an hour of purchase but Wilsons wouldn't re-auction it for us, unless we entered it as "sold as seen" and without any reserve. This is the same car they sold us an hour earlier clainming it didnt have any faults. Do not trust this company.
Sent a vehicle to Wilsons to auction for us. Watched it go through several times, apparently sold each time but the bids were fake, taken off the wall by the auctioneer. Eventually an offer was made which we accepted immediately. We didnt receive payment FOR TWO MONTHS and only after pestering them for it. No paperwork or receipt received, just a bank transfer.
