I’ve been shopping with Wingyip for 15 years since its Cricklewood branch started business. But I will never go again. Their security directed me to a parking space then I received a parking ticket. I had been triple checked with that security guard if I could really park there as there’s a sign and he said yes. Without his assurance I wouldn’t have done it. Funny enough their management admitted they employed that security guard but refused the take the responsibility of their employee’s mistake and claimed that that person had left the job and said I had to pay for it. Really disappointed!
Profiting from unsuspecting customers. Wing yip has few parking spaces outside Halfords Purley way which they have given to third party parking company UKPS to monitor. Many people complaining that they have received parking tickets of £100 from UKPS. Novel way to make profit. Won't be going to Wing Yip for sure.
Wing yip used to be a good place to shop and have a restaurant meal.now it is a complete joke now.they have restricted your parking in the weekend to 90 minutesIn the car park.do they honestly believe you can finish a meal in the restaurant (especially in the weekend often you have to wait over 30 mins just for a table) and then still have time to shop in the supermarket?the young management of the shopping mall must be a real idiot.they are driving away many supermarket customers as well as affecting the restaurant trade there( who are tenants of Mr wing yip).I suddenly won’t be shopping there anymore( I used to be regular).Good luck to them if they think they can treat their customers like that.they must be out of their mind.
I will never shop in this Croydon branch the staff seem aggressive and miserable I used to spend a lot of money but not anymore my experience yesterday put me off completely such a shame because I love their fish and other items but I won’t be shopping their anymore maybe retraining needed so take note wing yip because I’m not the only one you ask someone a question it’s like you’ve committed a crime sorry one lost customer
I’m a trade customer have been for over 20 years, last year they axed all the staff that help load up, and they don’t pick the orders for you anymore. I spend over £3000 in there every week, it’s often each shop is like 3 full trade trolleys and we are meant to do it all our selves now. It’s all about the money for them cutting jobs and then again if they care about the trade customer as someone else reviewed they wouldn’t make us do it all ourselves.
Well I have had a run of posting bad reviews but today I feel that I should leap to Wing Yip's defence.I have shopped at Manchester for about 7 years and it was always pleasurable - and interesting - but late last year I decided that the only sensible way to obtain product was to order Online for delivery ( I was not local anymore and with CV-19 family.... ). I placed my order ( easzi-peezi ) and the order was delivered promptly - despite the pressures that both WG and their carriers were experiencing. So Top marks Wing Yip.
I visited the store on 22nd Feb 2021 to purchase a product. I wanted to get a whole case of it, therefore I went to customer service desk to enquire. The person was at the desk said waiting time is 20-25 minutes. After waited for a while from a distance, I saw this gentleman walking towards the customer service desk with the single product that I enquired. So I approached him, as if I did not I would have to wait longer as I was waiting for a while and staffs walked past but they ignored you. The gentleman told me they no longer have stock in bulk but only individuals on the shop floor.I went back to the shop floor and picked up 12 individual tubs of it products. ( one case contains 12 tubs ) At the register, I told the cashier I got 12 and it’s equivalent of a case. On the shop floor there was this Middle Age gentleman was telling me that he cannot charge me as a case because they have no more stocks. From my understanding if you have plenty of single product on the shop floor shelf why can’t you charge your customer as a case. He told me we changed now!!! What change? The only changes I saw was your company wanting to charge customer more. Your company is a reputable business, but very dishonest towards your consumers. I then addressed to him how come those people meaning the trade customers allowed to buy in bulk and I cannot when you have stocks available? His replied was they are our customers???? I then replied back they are your customers and I am not.Your company only value trade customers as far as I’m concerned and this is a disgraceful behaviour.
I placed an online order, waited 12 days and still no sign of a delivery so I cancelled. I am not sure if there’s a problem with their stocks because I have relatives living near the Birmingham store who told me the store appears to be empty. I only did the online order because of the lockdown means I am not allowed to drive the distance. It’s ridiculous to expect customers to wait 14 working days for food items. The shop opens 7 days a week so why quote working days? There are always surplus staff standing by the tills, why not deploy them to packing? Even orders from China arrived within 6 days. I used a another online Chinese grocery store and got my delivery within 5 days. Wing Yip you are loosing business!
Order arrived with several items missing. Contacted them via email (multiple times) and Facebook, was ghosted on Facebook after saying hi, and never even received a reply from email. There are no contact number on their website or email address to contact them at all for anything. Avoid this shop!
