Having played since the beta over ten years ago, I’ve seen the game decline with each new addition. The developers seem to favor entitled behavior, and the toxic community quickly reports players for any reason. If you play differently, you risk being reported. Higher-tier players often get upset if lower tiers don’t take the lead. The state of the ships is disappointing, and voicing concerns leads to dismissive replies. Facing tier 10 ships in a tier 8 vessel feels like being cannon fodder. The developers support those who misuse the reporting system, and the so-called 'premium' ships often don’t offer any real advantage. At this point, it feels foolish to continue playing, and spending money only worsens the situation. The company should face consequences for its practices; it’s that serious.
I've been involved with this game since its beta phase, which was over ten years ago, and it just keeps getting worse with each update. The developers seem to cater to entitled behavior. The toxic community reports players for any reason, regardless of how they choose to play. Higher-tier players often get frustrated if lower tiers don't take the initiative and draw fire for them. The state of the ships is appalling. If you voice your concerns, you receive dismissive responses like 'get better' or 'it's a skill issue', even when you're facing tier 10 ships in a tier 8 vessel, making you feel like mere cannon fodder. Your battleship may have 58k health while opponents boast 80k, better guns, longer range, and thicker armor, yet you're expected to compete. The developers enable those who misuse the reporting system, allowing them to report players for trivial reasons. If you upset someone, they report you; if you don’t follow their directions, you get reported. The developers do little to address this abuse, often punishing the wrong players. Additionally, the so-called 'premium' ships are often no better than free options, despite costing a significant amount, leaving you feeling cheated. At this point, it seems foolish to continue playing, and spending money only feeds the issue. The company should face legal consequences for its practices; it’s that serious.
The game can be enjoyable, though it was more fun before the introduction of planes and submarines, along with the broken matchmaking system. Most games end with one side dominating the other, leading to a lack of balanced matches. The biggest issue, however, is the support—or lack thereof. They do not listen to customer feedback or requests for help, often closing support cases without consulting you. This forces you to open multiple cases for the same issue, which is incredibly frustrating. Be very cautious with in-game currency, especially rare types. There’s no way to test a new ship or change your choice after a brief use. Once you spend in-game currency, you're stuck with your decision, which is easy to get wrong if you haven’t played for several years. Ultimately, it feels like the company doesn't care about its customers, as their service and support are lacking, and the game design seems focused solely on extracting money from players.
There are too many destroyers in matches. I've been playing for nine years, and it feels like a joke now. The focus seems to be solely on profit. When we’re winning, the game doesn’t let it finish, but if the bots are winning, it does. It's always one-sided, making it seem like it's rigged for the same team to win every time. I just reinstalled the game, but now I wish I hadn’t.
This game is pay-to-win, attracting players who hide at the edges of the map and avoid engagement. It feels absurd and is designed for those who never venture outside. The company’s origins show a lack of awareness. Don’t waste your time; they changed the mechanics to be RNG-based. Even the AI cheats, making it a ridiculous setup.
Having played since the beta in 2014, I have significant experience and high stats, which allow me to provide an informed review. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times to check for improvements, but nothing ever changes for the better; it consistently worsens. The game is essentially a time sink. Match outcomes depend heavily on the skill of players on your team, overshadowing everything else. Players who know how to operate their ships can easily defeat less skilled players, regardless of ship tiers. The matchmaking system heavily favors paying players, making it hard for skilled non-paying players to maintain a good win rate. The high loss rate is frustrating, especially since many matches feature teams with unskilled players. It’s believed that many of these players are bots, which further skews the game in favor of one team. In essence, this game feels rigged, leading to a player base that consists mostly of unskilled individuals. The experience is fundamentally unsatisfying.
This game is incredibly frustrating. I constantly receive error code 70. 526. 1021, only to be told there’s an issue with my internet, which isn’t true. The game is down on consoles with no notice of maintenance. Everything else works fine except this game, and I'm still waiting for help after more than three years.
This is a toxic game plagued by cheaters and microtransactions. Winning often requires spending money, especially if you want to keep up with cheaters. The poor game mechanics and clear rigging have ruined the experience. The company shows no concern for players. I've been one-shotted numerous times, and my shots seem ineffective. Cheaters can decimate teams in minutes. It’s time to delete this game and move on to something better.
