The initial process of submitting my jewelry was quite simple. All pieces were initially accepted... until they were not; which took Worthy 3 days to inform me of this. Thankfully I was being very cautious, so I was waiting to speak to a Worthy representative, which took 3 days. Had I not waited, my jewelry would have been out of my possession and with Fedex "YIKES". I am not saying that this company cannot be trusted, as I did not fully go through the auction selling process with them. But, the initial process became questionable and sketchy. For me, it was a big WASTE of time. I do not recommend this company.
I had a great experience with the service... They arranged an insured pick-up, and the representative kept me updated throughout the entire selling process. I appreciated having the option to decline offers and extend the bidding period, and my funds were directly deposited into my bank account within a week after the sale of the jewelry. This was the easiest and quickest jewelry sale I could have hoped for, and I received $2,000 more than what the local seller had initially offered. This service was truly a WIN!!! 😃 😊 😀
I want to share my experience as it wasn't very positive. I used this app primarily due to its good rating, but the process ended up taking a couple of months. Selling my ring might have been quicker, but their offer was significantly low, so I declined. I originally bought the ring for around $5,000 from an online diamond wholesaler, not a retailer that inflates prices. They asked me to set a reserve at $900, which raised my concerns. The auction ended at $1,000, but I didn't sell it. At the end, they offered to return it to my address or allow me to pick it up at a location. I preferred delivery since the pickup point was far away, but they used a complicated app for signing, which required my credit card for a free trial, making me uneasy about the entire situation. Ultimately, I had to choose delivery to a hub, and while they mentioned it would take 7 to 10 days, it actually took 3 weeks, despite showing proof of the auction's end. I did get my ring back, but remember, auctions exist for a reason; buyers are looking to get items as cheaply as possible.
I was hesitant to send my jewelry, but after reading the reviews I felt more confident. The process was exactly as explained. I received emails from the time they received my jewelry and through every step of the way. Payment was received within time frame stated. Payment was higher than local jewelers.
