To summarize our experience with Explorient Travel Services Inc and Mr. Kervin Yu in one word, it’s simply WOW! Kervin had planned a 22-day custom excursion to seven different countries in Asia for us. Kervin was on top of every aspect of the trip and even contacted us to see how things were going when we were over there. At each destination, we were met by a tour guide and private driver who took us to and from our hotel. Some even stopped and took us to dinner, which we were not expecting. The drivers, for the most part, were in long-sleeved shirts with a tie, wearing white gloves. This was top-notch! Each car provided us with cold water as it was hot, and most offered cold towels to wipe off after activities. We were thrown a curve during the trip to Vietnam as one of our boat tours was cancelled due to Typhoon Wipha along Halong Bay. Without missing a beat, Kervin rescheduled us to land tours, which were very similar to what we would have done on our cruise. He was able to act fast, and we had just as much fun. When we went out for our Peking Duck dinner in Beijing, Kervin once again surprised us with a small gift and a written note given to us by the tour guide. I won't say what it was, but it was very nice and thoughtful. We learned so much about Asian culture, and each guide was very well-versed about their country, especially the history. My only complaint about the tour was that when they take you out for lunch, dinner, or the foodies tour, you get way too much food. It was only two of us, but we could have fed a small army. Okay, so it's not a complaint…but it made me feel fat ;-)To anyone looking for a professional travel agent, please use Explorient and Mr. Yu. They are top-notch professionals. I, for one, will certainly be using his services in the future. I could go on and on telling you how great the trip was, but I want to keep you interested and will close here. Explorient and specifically Kervin Yu provided incredible and professional travel service on our Southeast Asian honeymoon trip! We travelled to Thailand, Cambodia, and Singapore over a quick 8 days. Kervin created an itinerary to cover all the highlights and must-do experiences within our tight timeframe. He worked within a budget and was knowledgeable about where to prioritize our budget for the experience we were hoping for. From the start of planning to the actual trip, everything was smooth and exceptional! On the trip between 3 countries, there are many times when something could go wrong...but literally every airport transfer, hotel, and guide was perfect and smooth. Every airport pick up was timely and we never had to worry. The guides in each country were excellent, knowledgeable, and made us feel so connected to each country! The hotels were fantastic and each had a perfect location at each destination, conducive to exploring. The experiences and tours were exceptional and we couldn't stop smiling (from an elephant sanctuary in Northern Thailand, a food tour in Bangkok, and e-biking through the temples of Cambodia). Kervin and Explorient provided exceptional service and I would recommend them to anyone!
Explorient and specifically Kervin Yu was recommended to us, (my husband and daughter), by a professor friend who lived in Japan while his parents were in the diplomatic corps as he was finishing high school.Our daughter was attending a weeklong conference in Tokyo with Google/YouTube and had asked us if we were interested in joining her, as she planned to do some more touring after her conference was over, over the Thanksgiving holidays in 2019.We jumped at the chance.We had ideas about some of the cities and activities we were interested in, however, we also had to take into account the use a rollator, as I was planning on a hip replacement early in 2020, and it was crucial that I rely on it.I had already booked the three of us in a brand new boutique hotel close to our daughter’s Tokyo conference for the first week when she would be working and my husband and I would be visiting sites.Kervin seamlessly, incorporated the Tokyo week into our touring and included tours with our daughter whenever her schedule allowed. He paired us with private guides throughout the trip, who were knowledgeable and most enjoyable.From Tokyo, we visited Takayama, Shirakawa-go, Kyoto, Nara, Hiroshima and back to Tokyo for our return home. Explorient worked with us when we preferred a different hotel in Kyoto, and all the activities and guides they provided based on our preferences were top notch. Ranging from rickshaw tours, boat tours, tea ceremonies, cooking lessons. foodie tours, sake tasting, shrines, temples, and museums visits, (just to name a few), as well as all our train travel including Shinkansen trips and luggage transfers were on time and without glitches. We look back on this holiday and on Explorient’s expert guidance as one on our most if not the most enjoyable of all our vacations.We will not hesitate to call on Kervin Yu again in the future to provide us a most delightful experience; we highly recommend Explorient and Kervin.Vivian Fendel Berkeley, CA

We went to Asia the summer of 2015 for a graduation as a family. We went to Japan, China, Vietnam and Hong Kong. It was exceedingly epic!!! Explorient held our hand through each country with excellent accommodations, itineraries and tour guides. Pricing was fair and Kevin made it a trio of a lifetime. Beautiful and educational. We would highly recommend Explorient Travel Services. For almost 3 weeks during January and into February of 2020 we traveled from Philadelphia to Vietnam, Cambodia and Hong Kong. We met some incredible people along the way and were introduced to amazing sites. Explorient devised a travel itinerary that included a car/van with driver or boat transportation and a guide for every place we visited. Everything was beyond our expectations with the exception of 2 guides that were hard to understand and 1 van that had poor a/c. We dealt with Kervin from Explorient who always answered a query or request happily and in a very timely manner.
This was the second trip that I booked through Explorient Travel Services. I can't express enough how incredibly helpful the staff at Explorient were in helping me put together this trip for my family. They helped us create a customized itinerary which included booking airfare between four different destinations in Asia and they made all hotel reservations for us. They provided transfers from each of the airports to the hotels and arranged for a private tour guide and transportation for us once we arrived at each destination. They were incredibly helpful in giving us recommendations for things to do given that it was our first time visiting some of these places. They also provided assistance with the Visa application process for China which was very helpful. Before leaving for the trip Explorient provided us with very clear documentation outlining our itinerary, flight E-tickets, hotel info and reservations, as well as local contact info in case we needed assistance at each place that we visited.Once we arrived in China all of the tickets were already purchased for special events and attractions such as the Great Wall and Forbidden City so that there would be no waiting in line once we got there. All of the personnel that they are partnered with abroad including guides and drivers were extremely professional and friendly. The hotels that they selected for us were beautiful and luxurious. I am still impressed that I was able to travel with my in-laws, another couple, my wife and a 5 year old to 4 different destinations in Asia over the span of 2 weeks without a single glitch. The staff at Explorient were meticulous and made sure that every single detail was taken care of. This allowed us to just enjoy the trip free of worry.I am certain that I will be contacting Explorient in the future for all travel to Asia. I recommend them highly and without any hesitation!
Our family of five took a two week trip to Japan for the Winter holiday. Every detail of the trip was very thoughtfully planned out. Kervin took into account all of our requests for scheduling and itinerary. Because we had family friends that we were visiting, Kervin managed to accommodate our desires to do both some touristy things as well as have ample time to explore on our own and spend times with local friends. Every step of the itinerary was not only planned out well for us but communication of each of the transitions was also very detailed. All of this planning made for such an easy and enjoyable trip. All of the hotel accommodations that Kervin chose for us were very well situated and felt very upscale. As Explorient had planned our trip to China many years ago, we would highly recommend their services without reservation for any travel in Asia. We can’t wait for our next journey.
In Oct 2019, my wife and I entrusted the entire planning of our first, dream trip to Japan for a week to Explorient Travel Services. Our trip was arranged for early Dec 2019. Right from the first phone call to Explorient, it was clear to us that we could not have picked a better or more caring team to work with. This is especially true of Mr. Kervin Yu, who was always wonderful to interact with, promptly responded to all our emails and phone calls, and also understood and took care of our special needs. He spared no efforts in ensuring that from beginning till end, our stay in Japan and all sight seeing arrangements made through Explorient would lead to a most memorable and flawless trip of a lifetime. The hotels were superb; as also the tour guides selected for us in Tokyo and Kyoto, Ms. Shinohara and Mr. Miyoshi, respectively. Both were very cordial, and spoke very good English, and this made communication with them enjoyable. They were also highly knowledgeable about all the places we visited in both cities, and we could learn so much from them about the historic sites we visited, as well as Japanese history and culture overall. The trip to Nara and visit to Todaiji temple were unforgettable. Most importantly, we can not praise Kervin at Explorient Services enough for his insights, superb skills in communication , and for providing such caring and outstanding customer-centered service. Based on our overall experience during this trip, I am delighted to recommend Kervin and Explorient travel services to everyone !
