If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst company ever. Purchased a substrate for my aquarium as the website is in “liquidation” and found out later after my purchase that their shop permanently closed a few years back, social media is abandoned. No reply to my emails and telephone number doesn’t even exist anymore. I lost my money and can’t do anything about it.

Worst company I have ever dealt with

Worst company I have ever dealt with. I ordered a gift for my husband and it arrived in the most awful condition- full of dirt dust and cobwebs- clearly, it had been sitting for a LONG TIME and had not been cared for. The twinstar which cost 52 came damaged and so dirty the box wasn't even white anymore. I emailed the customer service on the 23rd of August and 22 days later no reply or acknowledgment. When I phoned Green Machine and asked why no one got back to me, the person on the phone with the customer service skills of a dead rat said its not his job. I was told its normal to have dirt on stock and there is nothing wrong with it. When I explained the state the twinstar was in I was told its not their problem it wasnt like that when they sent it to me. When I asked for them to follow up with the courier company I was told its not my problem. If im not happy I must incur the cost to send it back which is not refundable. SO pathetic, useless

Poor customer service

I ordered one small product. Heard nothing for a week so used their contact form to check whether they had processed order. No reply. After another week, tried again to order product as PayPal payment hadn't been taken but gave up after an hour as their website repeatedly crashed. Wrote complaint on contact form, to which they did reply this time with "Take your business elsewhere". I will.

Expensive rubbish

Bought plants, wood and food for the aquarium from multiple websites all arrived within a few days except for my order with thegreenmachine which took over 2 weeks to arrive.

Bought 3 plants from them, they came stacked one on top of the other which resulted in squashed plants with broken leaves and stems. They also looked pretty low quality.

Yes they have a return policy but do you really want to waste 2 weeks waiting for plants just to have to return them, wait for a refund and order from elswhere. I know i dont.

Avoid them as its a waste of time and money.
