Crystal Palace Glasgow.Visited several times with grandchildren and family. Upstairs seating and service excellent. Friendly staff. We were 9 people (3 kids) and on our final visit we arrived at 20:25. as children have to be out by 9 p.m. (which we already knew, and the staff politely explained) then the food was delivered prestissimo. Amazingly fast time from orders delivered to food on table. Highly recommend!PS Please bring back the 8oz sirloin!!!
i would rate it Zero but you seem to give it a 1 to 5 rating. We went into the Four Candles in George street in Oxford on Monday 7th Sept for a lunchtime meal. We have been going there on our visits to Oxford for the past 2/3 years, ever since their place at the Westgate in Oxford provided us with the worst cold fish and chip meal and poor customer service we had ever received.Anyway on Monday this place well surpassed the previous place in the Westgate. We arrived around 11.05 am and for the first time, went upstairs because there were so many tables with the remenants of previous occupants on the lower level that had not had the dirty cups, glasses or dishes removed. My wife and I commented that this was unusual for here and it was not until about 11.25 before these tables were cleared. We then moved to the lower level and at 11.30 I went to order our food, we were on table 14 and I ordered a chicken bites basket, only to be informed they were out of chicken bites ( poor planning by the pub I think).I then ordered a small fish and chips plus a large breakfast. We noticed that all the staff were young people, unlike when we normally visit, there is a mature blonde lady with glasses who is always attentive and very helpful. We commented that in the Westgate that the staff are always younger and do not provide a decent service, hence why we do not go there ant more.Anyway after ordering at exactly 11.30, we were concerned by 11.55 that there was no sign of our food. I did on ordering notice a lady with two young children had returned 2 meals (the waitress walked past me carrying them).I went to the bar to enquire and a young man said he would check for me, he came back and said that between breakfast and lunch orders, there was some delay due to cooking chips or something ( did not make sense, never heard that in 3 years of coming here before and had never had to wait that long, either in the past). At around 10 mins later a piping hot fish and chips arrived together with a cold large breakfast. The large breakfast had, burnt toast Cold), how can burnt toast be cold? The rest of the meal was tepid or cold. One of the eggs had a spread yoke which was rubbery.I worked out, they somehow had cooked the breakfast and then waited o cook the fish and chips to make it fresh and hot.I tried to call the server back but she had walked away out of earshot. Before we moved downstairs and ordered the food, my wife and I spoke about the young staff not doing anything about clearing up the tables, so unlike when the older lady is in attendance. After I pointed out the poor food and service, the female manager!, (again a young woman), came and said she would get it warmed up!!!I told her it was a disgrace and she should be ashamed at serving such poor food. There was no way I was going to accept that, I asked for and got a refund for my meal, this was without an apology. It seems Oxford fill their Weatherspoons pubs, with young staff who have no customer service experience or care for the service they provide (that is apart from the older blonde lady with glasses in the Four Handles.I have seen the Weatherspoons boss in Henley and Portsmouth, the staff I have spoken to in those pubs say he is kind and caring, I do not doubt this. I do however think he might want to visit Oxford more often and check what they are doing or not doing as the case may be.It does appear that in both of these Weatherspoons in Oxford, that younger staff have no customer service experience or just do not care.I will say to be fair, apart from a round of white cold toast in Portsmouth, every other Weatherspoons experience has been good.Youth over experience, judge for yourself, go to either Oxford Weatherspoons and chance a cold meal, poor service experience.
We could not have been more pleased with the service to us provided by Zac(Birmingham Intl Airport). Whilst he was serving many customers at any one time, we really did feel that Zac was providing us with personal service. He could not have been more helpful. We were torn between having breakfast at Wetherspoons or Giraffe. We are so pleased we chose Wetherspoons. Zac made us feel special and nothing was too much trouble. I must have asked him for service on a number of different occasions and not once did he seem fazed by it all. He is calm and attentive. We seated ourselves next to his workstation as such, and we were so pleased we did. He seemed to manage looking after our needs as well as many other customers so efficiently. For example, when we asked for certain condiments, rather than point us in the right direction, he took it upon himself to ensure we remained seated whilst he tended to our requests, which he brought right to our table. Clearly a busy time of the day for the chain, Zac worked effortlessly and made it look so easy. We were already anxious about flying and starting our day, but with a lovely experience served by Zac, we set off on our journey in the best possible way.We would also like to thank Sophia. Sophia has a strong customer focus manner and again too was so helpful and lovely to approach. Thank you.
We visited one of your restaurants to day while we were on holiday in the isle of Wight as we do every time we come ertdes today one member of the staff was not very friendly, helpful You see I ordered on the app as it was very busy the meal came out perfectly no problem but when I ordered dessert I ordered vanilla ice cream NO SAUCE but when it came out it had sauce on so I told the waitress she then asked to see my order so I showed her ice cream no sauce for her to tell me all ice-cream comes with sauce the give me a dirty look comes back out 10 mins later with a ice cream we thanks she gave me another look then every time she walked past us we all got the death look sorry but I just said no sauce I don't know weather it was busy or she was at the end of her shift she didn't have to be so rude
Yesterday in your blackpool seafront Albert & liion pub. An absolutely beautiful lady called Stacey came up to me thinking I was ill as I had my fan on and face down she brought me a glass of water and asking if I was OK. I just want to acknowledge this lovely young lady. Most wouldn't even bother. Lovely experience at your pub
Food server witch was a male was just so bloody rude should be told to get out and not be allowed any job serving to public again especially when customers are allergic to certain items that was put on the plate when requested not to then he went off and got a female to come over then when she walked off she said a very disrespectful and racist word that I 10000% heard so I will be taking this higher Staff should get out if that’s how they gonna talk to customers.
I would give it a minus if I could. I took my ill husband for lunch in Newbury. We found a table on the outside pavement & were turfed out by a rude waitress who said no dogs ate allowed. I've never heard anything so ridiculous. The tables are spaced wide apart. Our dog just lies down under the table & sleeps. What is the problem with having a dog in an outside area. You've lost our business for life!
