I booked two tickets for the Meet The Monkeys experience as a gift, and the booking process was seamless. We were thrilled to spend the day at the zoo. Our experience was led by two very engaging and friendly guides. We had the opportunity to hand-feed monkeys while learning fascinating facts about them. Our guides answered all questions and made sure everyone, from adults to kids, felt included and cared for. The focus on safety was reassuring, and despite being close to the animals, we felt completely at ease. I can't recommend this experience enough, thanks to the charming monkeys and the outstanding service from our guides. Don't let winter deter you; there are plenty of warm enclosures to enjoy!
After reading some reviews, I felt like we must have visited a different zoo. We traveled from Wales to Whipsnade and enjoyed our stay in a nearby guest house. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and informed about the electric buses available. The day was delightful, filled with various animal sightings, including penguins and lions. We even learned from the bus driver about the animals while traveling. Lunch was enjoyable, though a bit pricey. The highlight was certainly the Red Pandas and the informative talk we attended. It was a perfect way to end our day, and I usually don’t write reviews, but this experience truly deserved one.
We visited as a family and had a memorable day, coinciding with World Teacher Day. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed all the exhibits and even the steam train ride. Lunch was good, though the pasta could have had more flavor. We arrived early and left satisfied, having seen the bird display and animal feedings. The views near the white rhinos were particularly stunning, and there were plenty of clean restrooms available, which is always a plus with kids.
I am astonished by the negative reviews, which seem to come from people who don't understand the experience. Some complain about not seeing certain animals immediately, but I prefer to take my time and observe. I have many photos that prove the zoo's value, and I appreciate the important conservation work they do. Those posting negative comments should reconsider their perspectives.

The staff seemed disengaged, often more interested in chatting than assisting visitors. I was surprised by the limited number of animals present and found the prices at the restaurant to be excessive. My previous visits were much more enjoyable, and I left feeling disappointed, especially since we didn't see many of the expected animals. I don’t plan to return.
