I couldn’t be happier with Accountable, easily a 5-star experience. What truly sets it apart is the built-in AI chat function. It’s incredibly clear and helpful. Any question or doubt I have gets answered instantly.Another great feature is how effortlessly it handles incoming invoices. You can just email them to the app, and if your bank account is connected, they’re automatically matched with the correct expense. It saves me so much time and hassle.Filing taxes was smooth and stress-free. The entire setup is so intuitive and well thought out that I felt completely confident I wasn’t making any mistakes. That peace of mind is priceless.I honestly recommend Accountable to anyone who’s self-employed in Belgium and wants a smart, easy, reliable bookkeeping solution.(Disclaimer: I’m not getting paid to write this. I just really, really like this app 😄)
I would give it 3 stars, but compared to all other tools that I tried it's a clear winner, so 1 star on top just for being better then the rest of the stuff on the market.Good:* excellent UI and UX, very easy to use and navigate (creation, editing, search and filtering)* just the right functionality for small entrepreneurs: bank connection, revenues, expenses, invoicing and taxes* multilingual* good tips and AI recognition of receiptsBad:* slow support (at least on the surface, waiting for several days to get a response seems too long to me)* no bulk import of expenses / revenues from spreadsheets* working with downpayments is a bit of a mess (create an invoice, don't mark as paid, track revenue #1, track revenue #2...; I can't easily have a single invoice which is directly linked to several payments)* most importantly: their treatment of depreciation (AfA) in Germany does not comply with tax regulations and it doesn't seem like they are planning to fix it (at least based on my conversations with their support). I don't know how other people rely on their services, but I am only using Accountable for invoicing and receipt tracking. My taxes still go via ELSTER because of this, so it feels like I am paying for functionality that is not really usable
This app is a life saver! Everything is in English, you can ask any question you might have and they’ll get back to you in a matter of a day. I booked an appointment with an accountant for a small fee and he guided me through the whole process of submitting my income tax declaration. I can only recommend them!
The design changes quite frequently, but I would like to see the same with features. Five months ago, I provided feedback consisting of ten points, but nothing has been implemented so far.Overall, it's good for B2B accounting with a small number of clients, but when it comes to B2C with a large number of clients, it becomes annoying. What I like:The possibility to ask tax coaches questions (even though the response time is sometimes one week).Bank connectionGood recognition of the category of expenses. The data from the invoice is often correctly recognised. What does not work so well:It does not always recognise the correct text from PDFs. The numbers 0 and O and 1 and I are problematic.Automatic invoice recognition does not work for me: it does not recognise "-" in the final sum or in the title "Credit note", so I have to enter "-" manually. It does not always recognise that the country is not Germany. Sometimes it sets a random country for German clients. To change a client's data (country), I first have to find the invoice, copy the name, find the client in the clients section and then change it, which is inconvenient.Suggestions:OSS implementation – an easy report, but it is still not there. The same applies to Dauerfristverlängerung: just change the dates of the deadlines. When creating an invoice, I would like to be able to simply paste the address and have the system automatically recognise the street, city and country, rather than having to insert them separately.UPD:***I want to set all my future customers as private automatically. - Now it recognizes private customers automatically, good job! But it is still problematic to recognize the number of invoice ***I would like to be able to download all uploaded data to Excel, edit it there and then upload it again to update all the data, such as 'reviewed', 'type of customer' and 'country'.I want to see invoices attached to clients.I would like to be able to filter clients by business/private customer, country, etc.Overall, too much time is consumed by clicking. Once an invoice has been uploaded to Accountable, the following steps must be taken to count it: click on the uploaded invoice, add a new client, mark them as private, save, then click 'Mark as paid', enter the date and save. Imagine doing this for over 1,000 invoices a month.
Absolutely exceptional. I've used Accountable for years and I'm blown away by what they've created. It is miles and miles ahead of the experience I've had with other accounting packages. Simply no comparison. Truly a 21st century experience, and the support has been magnificent, and also very kind. A company others should look up to.
