From start to finish the team at Accuvision have been excellent. Vik who first saw me was polite helpful and made me relax about the surgery. In the surgery everyone is friendly and it's done professionally and quick with lots of support whilst sat in the waiting room.The follow up appointment put me at ease, i really felt looked after with small things such as free drops given without hesitation or any request for further payment.I couldn't recommend them higher and have since referred them to friends and family who are keen to get their eyes lasered.
I came for my consultation 2 weeks prior to surgery where detailed tests were ran to see if I was suitable for the procedure, and thankfully I was. Vik explained how everything works and answered any questions I had, also telling me not to rush into a decision and call back when I’ve made a choice. I decided to go ahead with the surgery, and when I was booked in, I was sent further details about what the day of surgery looks like, and what the aftercare process would look like. I also had a call 24 hours before surgery just to ask any last questions I had and to outline what to expect tomorrow. Upon arrival in clinic on the day, the team made me feel welcome immediately and gave some time to settle before going to the operating room. Once there, they performed LASIK on each of my eyes, which was a slightly strange feeling but completely painless, also talking me through what was happening very step of the way. From there, the team gave me a few minutes to relax before explaining what to do for the next 24 hours in order to start recovering. As I’m typing this, I have just had my follow up and my vision is already so much better, and this will continue to improve as my eyes heal over the coming weeks. After care is also covered in the cost of surgery for a year after surgery, so the team are committed to helping you recover as quick and as well as you possibly can.Overall, from start to finish Vik and the team have been great at putting my mind at ease, extremely knowledgable and allowed me to do everything at my own pace with no pressure. Couldn’t recommend Accuvision highly enough.
Amazing staff and amazing experience. I felt very valued and recieved great care. They have a very persionalised approach and make you feel very comfortable and explain everything to you. My vision is now 20/15!!!!! Couldnt be happier! shoutout to Vik who was amazing! Highly recommended!
I am now 2 months post-procedure and the team at AccuVision have been great all the way through. They have been informative and supportive, allowing me to make the right decision to go ahead with the treatment. 2 months on and I can see clearly without glasses or contact lenses for the first time ever!
BackgroundIn early 2018, I noticed subtle changes in my left eye. I was constantly cleaning my glasses, fine visual detail was diminishing, and I was having headaches after looking at any screen. I thought I had a change in my prescription; therefore, I visited my optometrist. After mentioning my symptoms and the optometrist failing to correct my vision, they investigated for other causes and noticed a change in the shape of my cornea. By March 2018, I was referred to the NHS ophthalmology department, where I was formerly diagnosed with keratoconus, and began trialling hard lenses to correct the vision in my left eye. It became apparent within the first few months that my disease was progressing rapidly; therefore, I was put on the waiting list for crosslinking eye surgery for my left eye. The NHS waiting list for several years, so I looked into private options and found Accuvision in late Autumn 2018. How Accuvision have helpedOnce at Accusvision, I was seen within the week, and the scans at their practice in Parsons Green confirmed the diagnosis of keratoconus in my left eye and revealed a new diagnosis of early keratoconus in my right eye. With the ophthalmologists at Accuvision, we decided to do bilateral crosslinking, scheduled a few weeks after my initial appointment with Accuvision. Everything leading up to the surgery and after was amazing. I felt supported and heard by everyone at Accuvision. The procedure was explained clearly, and the aftercare was laid out so I knew what to expect. The surgery itself was over in the blink of an eye, and for the few weeks after the surgery, I had access to the ophthalmologists any time of day and night, and that was a huge reassurance to me. After recovering from the surgery, we began working to correct my vision on my newly strengthed cornea. This involved trialling every type of contact lens and trying different lenses for my glasses. The team at Accuvision persevered with me as it took me several months to find a solution that suited me. They personalised every aspect of my care so that I achieved the best vision possible with my condition. I have been able to achieve 20/20 vision in my right eye, which I have maintained. With my left eye, which has progressed further, I have a level of vision that allows me to carry on with my daily life and work.If it weren’t for the hard work of everyone at Accuvision, I wouldn’t have found out that my right eye was also affected by this disease and would have a far worse quality of life due to reduced vision. Since my initial diagnosis, I have been followed up regularly and have had to have a second surgery for my left eye due to further progression. Just have had corrective surgery on my right eye from accuvision in Fulham amd I have to say the whole experience was fantastic. From initial consultation right thru til today the first check up after my surgery yesterday. The staff were magic completely putting me at ease and helping me through the lot. Im now day one writing this review on my phone without glasses 😀😀and lastly for anyone thinking of this but worried about the surgery dont be it is completely painless and so quick you dont have time to worry
Natalia and all the team at the Wetherby Clinic of AccuVision were amazing at every stage of my LASIK treatment! They answered every possible question and guided me through the whole experience from the initial online consultation, during the surgery itself (both eyes) and on to aftercare, providing great care, empathy, professionalism and reassurance throughout.Despite having a pretty complicated prescription in both eyes plus an astigmatism, the surgery has achieved such clear distance vision and has even improved my reading vision - I don't need glasses for driving or using the computer anymore.My life has been transformed and I wish I had done it years ago, I used to avoid crowds and going to shops because I couldn't wear distance glasses or varifocals for walking around but now have no issues and feel so much more confident as a result.Before deciding on AccuVision for my treatment, I had consultations with a number of laser surgery providers but none were as approachable or put me at ease as much as the team at AccuVision, I am extremely grateful for their skill and care.Highly recommend!
I have been under the care of Shalona and it has been a wonderful experience. She is extremely knowledgeable and did such a thorough eye exam that thankfully I am no longer wearing glasses that are too strong for me. I also am grateful for her holistic approach which is what I was after and believe is working for my eye issues. I feel very blessed to have found Accuvision and especially Shalona.
