I once used the Chat feature and was misinformed. I emailed with customer service and was still unable to make an additional purchase after my lease was funded and I had a balance that I could use for additional purchases however I wanted to use them at another store. I called myself making an additional payment but it turned out that it was considered an early payment on my account. When my next payment was due it showed that I owed a balance of $4.96 that my early payment did not cover. Anyway I was pleased with the credit limit they gave me but disappointed with the other nonsense that came with the account. I will not be using their services again. I’ll just save up my money and make a purchase. Thank you for your service.

This is the worst credit card ever I will advice anybody that wants to purchase a furniture from bobs furniture and they approach you to open a card with Acima run honey save yourself the headache not worth it rude and mean people shame on them

The customer service is terrible, the app doesn’t process payments correctly and the customer service can’t do anything about it. They won’t fix it on the back end or fix the app. I called to tell them I lost my job, I had paid for the insurance and one of the benefits was I could be eligible for no payments if I put enough into the insurance. I did and I sent them everything they asked for and still never got anything back from them. They resumed payments hoping I had a job. I did by that time but why pay for the insurance if I couldn’t use it when I really needed it? And the customer service people said it was a different third party that still was Acima that dealt with this? Like that in itself was confusing so I got nothing but I’m sorry I can’t help. I processed my last buy out payment and it never went through, i once again didn’t get a denial or anything from the app and went about my day. Next day I came back to the app to see the payment was never processed and I now owe my payment plus the next or a “discounted” pay off. This place has no accountability for their app and has refused to fix the issues. Don’t use them, use Afterpay if possible.

I’ve used acima twice now to purchase furniture and i have absolutely loved the experience each time. I do highly recommend not over purchasing. If you can’t afford to pay off your purchase in 3 months, then it’s best to wait and save. Not paying it off in 3 months will cost you a lot more money. I will be using acima for future purchases.

Their customer service is truly top notch — friendly, responsive, and helpful. The process is simple, convenient, and reliable. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

• The Trap: I originally borrowed $1,250 on a 3-month repayment plan.
• The Deception: Without my consent, they extended the term to 1 year and hiked the total repayment amount to over $2,000.
• The Reality: They advertise 'zero interest' but charge nearly double through hidden fees and unauthorized term changes.
I was forced to borrow money from elsewhere just to escape their trap. I managed to pay off $1,500 in just a month and a half to get out, but the experience was a nightmare. Please, learn from my experience and stay away so this doesn't happen to you!"

Acima got mad because I missed a payment for a few days ( I forgot to update my debit card info). They then offered me a settlement for full ownership, which I paid, then they proceeded to charge me for the lease right after I paid the settlement, although I refused to pay anymore after the settlement. Oh and they also denied me any further credit even tho I have a good past with them. Acima sucks.

Horrible customer service to began with. Of course the approval process is very quick and easy so they can sink their teeth into your bank account. After paying a lease for 7 months (total of $2100 for a $1100 couch). I contacted them to cancel the lease. Was given two options, have rent a center pick up the couch or donate it to a non profit. Well I picked to have it picked up, then was told there were no Rent a centers available to pick it up, I chose to donate it. After donating it Nov 24, 2025 i was assured my account was going to be closed and no further charges were going to be made. Well my account was charged on Dec 16th and Jan 2, 2026. I immediately connected their "customer dis service" and was again assured I would be refunded and it was their mistake. Well fast forward to today, I was contact by acima and was told i had a outstanding balance!!! What a joke. After being the phone with several non english speaking agents I finally got through to a supervisor who's name was Janice... She even admitted over and over that it was a mistake and an error on ACIMA but they ended with "unfortunately" we will not being refunding you. But then said well the most she could refund was $83!! This company will rob you blind then expect you to thank them. I will never use them again and I will make sure to tell the world to never ever think about using them. They are a dirty company. I wish I looked into them before signing that lease. They take advantage of people. I wish I could them negative stars.
