We ve just realised we ve been scammed. Whilst travelling on holiday with the kids we realised one of our bags were missing. This was minutes before boarding the plane. We had to make quick decisions. I googled “lost property stansted airport” and they came top of the page with a convincing website. They offered a special search service which we later suspected there was something very wrong about it. We paid a whopping USD160 (!!) in the belief they d have a special concierge service, giving priority to this item, and keeping us updated regularly and even shipping the item to our holiday destination (naive i know! But we dont have experience with losing bags at airports). We knew the item was there because of find my app which showed the location of our ipad (which was in the bag). After receiving what seemed like automated emails, offering chat and telephone service that was never really available, I decided to check if they were a scam and indeed they were. Steer clear! I ve reported them to google. Dont understand how they accept companies like this to use their platform. Probably because google is also making lots of money with their ads. Im fuming and just hope this review can help someone not fall for them.
total total scam. Do NOT use this company. i filed a claim. All they had to do was go to Emirates Airline and PICK UP MY prescription glasses and courier them to me. here it is a week later and get these emails saying they are "contacting the ground crew" and dispatching all resources. No live human ever responds to emails. Phone messages do not get ansered nor responded to. Total SCAM!
Impossible to get in contact with. I tried to cancel my service (within the 2h window) without any kind of recation/ confirmation from their side. In the meanwhile do they spam you for weeks with positivt emails on how close they are to find your obejct for weeks. Without any kind of sucess. I had tho use the credit card company to get my money back.
Absolutely reprehensible that they charge $80 for you to even have a chance to get your item back. They offer a free "low priority" option, but their website claims that the free option doesn't even give their "concierges" the authority to interact with airport personnel! Seems like $80 somehow gives them a little extra authority, though. Complete garbage.
Do not give your money to this site. It is not connected to any TSA agency or airport of any sort. Only request lost and found items through the actual airport's website and verify its authenticity. This site claims it offers free claims but tricks you into spending upwards of $70 for a service it has no capability of providing. L scam tbh, got my money back in a few hours, but still, not worth the hassle
Company is a scam. Repeated emails asking me to pay for an expedited service. The website looked like the airport authority lost property service. It was only when the emails started arriving that I realised what was going on, thankfully before I paid anything.Read the other reviews on here - they take your money and do nothing apart from preying on people at a stressful time.
Straight up scam. Wasn’t really thinking, jus put in a claim, then couple days later put in a claim with United who found my item within hours. Still getting twice hourly email updates from this scam saying they’re looking for my item but haven’t found it.
Total scam. They send automated emails. Do nothing to find your item. I found it. Told them about it. Asked if they would help facilitate the return. Got a stock answer. The next day, another automated email suggesting they were still searching for it. Crap!!!
Airportrecovery.com - DO NOT USE THEM EVER - INTERNET SCAMMING COMPANY 100%On May 23, 2025 I left my ipad in the security bin, at CDG airport (Charles de Gaulle) in Paris. I was feeling very defeated as I am from California and was having a hard time trying to reach CDG lost and found. The first website when I googled was airportrecovery.com Cudos to them for providing such a fantastic website that looks so legit for scamming innocent vulnerable people. I filled out the form, however when it asked me to include my credit card, I decided to wait and think a little longer before I proceeded. Within 20 minutes of filling out form, they were calling me and asking me to complete the form so they can proceed within the hour to start the process to retrieve my ipad. The woman had a Brittish accent and was very professional and articulate until I asked her who I was speaking with and then she hung up on me. I knew that was a bad sign. The next day, I still was very upset that I lost my $700 Ipad, I decided to go against my intuition and fill out the form and give my credit card. Well after I did that they answered one call and gave me the run around. I was using my "find my ipad" location and I sent them over 48 hours 3 screen shots of where my ipad was located which was exactly where I left it at Security. They would finally respond "thank you for your assistance, bla bla bla". I then finally reached them again by phone and the person I spoke with (man with asian accent), assures me I should be hearing from someone tomorrow and to make sure I keep my phone on and to expect call. I decided to ask them if their company was based out of Ft. Lauderdale Florida because I saw it on their website. The person who I was speaking with said "hello, hello, hello', pretending to have lost connection and when I continued to call back they let the call go to voicemail. Right then and there I knew 100% I had been scammed and was 100% correct. I continued to send emails demanding my money back. They would just send me generic emails to me every 2 days. Luckily my credit card company refunded my money and will deal with them and hopefully flag them. Great news, I got my ipad back after filling out a claim with the Charles de Gaulle airport. I did have to spend $85 but it was worth it. Always trust your intuition and when a company is calling you so eager for your credit card after you have partially completed a form on-line, that should always be a RED flag. Just be patient and work directly with the airport. Don't ever use this service - airportrecovery.com - I wish I would have clicked on reddit as there are so many similar reviews about them scamming innocent people.
