Excellent telephone customer service and straightforward website. Clear comms and they don't play games with accounts. Lots of notice of maturing accounts and easy to update maturity. I had cause to call them twice today due to my misunderstanding and they were extremely helpful, patient and got me sorted out. I have been a customer since 2014 because they give competitive rates and great customer service.
I opened an account as a Power of Attorney and the process was efficient and straightforward. I only had one issue - which was down to me, and when I phone Clare G talked me through and it was all sorted in 11 mins. Password reset, memorable info sorted and linked account set up. Many, many thanks - Halifax and NS&I could learn a lot from you.
I recently opened a 2 year fixed rate account with Aldermore Bank which was very easy. The interest rate on offer was very competitive. I would recommend using Aldermore bank as they have a good range of savings products with higher interest rates compared to other providers.
I have been experiencing an issue with an ISA transfer. Tried to transfer to another organisation but it failed. Then Aldermore transferred money out of my account without my permission. It accepted the mistake. Resolution took 3 months was just a lengthy mess with no sense of urgency from Aldermore and just wasted time in chasing them. The complaints process and apologies do not translate into action. Lost any sense of trust - so got our money out as soon as we could.
Have been banking with Aldermore for many years predominantly investing in Cash ISAs and Fixed Term Bonds. I have received maturity instructions and renewals in a timely manner with notice and competitive rates clearly stated. The online banking is easy to use and efficient. I would recommend them as safe and trustworthy.
