My gynecomastia has bothered me for pretty much all my life. Even after losing 30kg in body weight it would still be very prominent and affect my self esteem and confidence as i didn't want to wear t shirts or go to the beach/ swimming pool. I am extremely happy with the results of my surgery and the way my chest looks now. The surgery has helped me mentally by increasing my confidence and self esteem and physically as my chest has a more normal flat appearance.I would easily recommend Professor Mahajan if you are suggesting to have gynecomastia surgery done.RA
Brilliant experience from start to finish. Dr Mahajan filled me with confidence from the consultation and left me with no doubts about having the procedure! Dr Mahajan was also flexible with surgery dates making it easier to fit around work. I had the surgery at Elland hospital, all the staff here were lovely! Even straight after surgery I could already tell I would love the results, I had no pain and didn’t require any of the pain relief. The final results are fantastic and everything I had hoped for, I couldn’t be happier and now feel much more confident! Like most people say, I wish I could have had it done 10 years sooner! I originally had implants in 2007. I have since breastfed three children, which left my breasts really wonky. The left breast was much larger and very droopy, there was at least a 2cm difference in the position of my nipples. The appearance of my breasts massively affected my self confidence and it meant that I couldn't wear some types of clothes/underwear/ swimwear. After stopping breastfeeding and allowing my breast tissue to settle for 6 months, I decided to look for a consultant who could fix my breasts. I looked at reviews of different consultants and decided to book consultations with Mr Mahajan and one other. Mr Mahajan was professional and understanding from the outset. He ensured I had realistic expectations and answered all my questions thoroughly. He felt that I needed a left sided mastopexy/uplift, with or without a change of implants. His communication with me via email following my consultation was prompt and thorough. He alleviated my concerns and reassured me were needed. I decided to book for surgery with him following a second consultation, two weeks after the initial one. Due to the age of the implants in situ, I would opt for new implants at the same time.The day of surgery went really smoothly, Mr Mahajan came and marked me up, answered any questions I had and the next thing I knew I was waking up with new breasts. My pain was managed really well by the nurses and I felt looked after by the team. The morning after surgery Mr Mahajan came to review me. He checked my breasts and the drain and decided all was well for me to be discharged. I had the drain removed and was discharged that evening with lots of aftercare advice and pain relief.My recovery has been fine, I was in some pain for the first week or so, but keeping on top of the pain killers and avoiding three children jumping all over me helped! I was reviewd at day 10 by Mr Mahajan, who was happy with healing at that point. My left breast remained more swollen than the right but this has now settled and my breasts are much more symmetrical. I am over the moon with my results and I feel much more confident about my body. I have been careful not to do too much and I am now 6 weeks post surgery and looking forward to starting to exercise properly again. It will be another few weeks before they are completely settled and I can shop for new underwear, so excited!Thank you so much Mr Mahajan, you've made an unbelievable difference to my life!
Fantastic doctor. The operation went really well, the scaring was very neat, and I healed quickly. I am extremely happy with the size that I was able to get down to during the operation. Anybody who is thinking of having a breast reduction and is concerned about the operation/ recovery time, there is no need to be. Everything went well for me during and after the operation. Since I have had the operation, my back pain has decreased significantly I feel much more confident and my posture has improved. Doctor Mahajan explained everything about the operation well, including what to expect during recovery. I would highly recommend Doctor Mahajan if you are considering having a Breast Reduction.
I cannot recommend Mr Mahajan enough. I recently had rhinoplasty and after years of debating whether to have the procedure I was quite nervous. However Mr Mahajan reassured me almost instantly. He wasn’t very chatty, (which I see as a positive!), but he was caring and kind, answering all my questions and talking me through what would be done clearly and concisely. From leaving his office until I was going for anaesthetic I wasn’t nervous at all. After the procedure I had minimal bruising and the pain was nowhere near as bad as I had expected. I had my cast removed after 7 days and even though there was swelling the difference was already unbelievable. It is now 4 weeks since the procedure and my nose seems to have settled well. Even though it can take a year for the swelling to fully subside I am already incredibly happy with the work Mr Mahajan has done. He managed to fix everything I disliked but keep it natural enough so that it isn’t obvious that I have had anything done, apart from to those closest to me. I wouldn’t hesitate to choose Mr Mahajan every time and cannot rate him highly enough
I had been thinking about having a tummy tuck since the birth of my son 11 years ago. He was born by caesarean section. I was so unhappy with the way my stomach looked, even when I had lost weight as i felt it looked worse. Mr mahajan was recommended to my been a friend. I had my consultation in july and immediately felt i was in good hands so i booked in for the following January for lipo abdominoplasty. On the day of surgery all the staff at spire elland made me feel completely at ease and kept me updated as to when mr mahajan would be ready for me. After surgery the staff were amazing, as explained by mr mahajan i woke wearing a corset. It felt uncomfortable and very tight but the next day i was given a new one and that was much more bearable. I am now 6 weeks post op and continuing to wear it up until my 12 week consultation as mr mahajan said this will give the best result. I am already so much more comfortable in my clothes and i am extremely happy with my new shape. The scar has healed well.

Professor Mahajan made me feel at ease and comfortable from the moment I walked through the door and this time round was no different. He is very professional and covered off all questions and concerns I had. After having the procedure done I was amazed by how well the recovery was and by the results. My confidence has grown and I absolutely love my new figure. Highly recommend!
Had my Breast Implants for 17 years and they were definitely past their best. Visited numerous surgeons who all advised an uplift and smaller implant which I didn’t really want. Mr Mahajan was the only one who suggested an uplift without an implant with the option of a smaller implant at a later date if needed. Due to the fact I have very little breast tissue I was expecting to be totally flat chested but somehow Mr Mahajan managed to give me a small B cup. It’s nearly 3 weeks since my operation and my scars are healing well and I can tell already that they are not going to be too noticeable due to his stitching skill. Can’t recommend him highly enough.
I would just like to start and say a huge thank you to Mr Ajay Mahajan! Mr Mahajan made me feel very comfortable and at ease with his presence and work. He was very clear about the procedure and what he will do. I had open rhinoplasty, I’ve hated my nose for years never liked looking in the mirror and always had to be at different angles in photos. I can now say that’s changed and I’m in love with my nose! My nose is still very natural looking which is what I wanted. I also would like to say a huge thank you to the nurses, I had a 1 night over stay. The nurses were always there hand and foot to see if I’m ok, if I would like tea, coffee any refreshments and for making me feel very comfortable. The hospital was lovely too! I felt like I were having a nights stay in a hotel! Very clean and comfortable. For anybody who’s worried about pain, I felt no pain at all. Just a little discomfort for the first couple of nights. It’s hands down the best decision I have made getting the surgery done. I had a very prominent bone towards the top of my nose, now my hump has gone I feel so much more confident within myself. I can’t thank Mr Ajay Mahajan enough! and his team, Thank You.
Having reached retirement age, I have a bucket list!One of the many being the removal of my 25 year old implants: not because of any problems (have had none) but purely for my potential recovery rate.I visited two consultants, Prof Ajay Mahajan being my third, before finding someone who listened, answered my questions in layman terms and made me feel relaxed and treated me like an “individual” patient, instead of another statistic.I went ahead with the procedure 22/1/2020.From entering the Yorkshire Clinic to leaving the following day I was treated with care, kindness from the staff and particularly Prof Mahajan.He has written to my GP – copied letters to myself, three times; keeping them up-to-date with the whole process and results.I am now into my 4th week and recovering superbly – which I can, wholeheartedly, attribute to this top surgeon.Thank you so much.
