Had a fantastic time while I was in the studio from the hair and makeup to the actual photo shoot my photographer Sumi was such a laugh she put me at total ease infact all the ladies from the young lady on reception sorry I've forgotten your name 🙈 to Kayleigh who I was with on my viewing were all amazing in there own way would definitely recommend and an added bonus absolutely loved my pictures 📸 😊😊
I entered a competition with Andrew Wood Photography thinking how lovely it would be to look like the incredible women shown on their page so i entered thinking it's ok i won't win anyway. Fast forward a few weeks and I got a phone call saying i had won and reluctantly booked a date! I had mixed emotions, wanting to go but thinking I wouldn't be good enough. I went with the support of my best friend Michelle and she was also offered to take part. We took the plunge and WOW what an emotional empowering experience! All the girls were so friendly and made us feel so at ease. From the beautiful girls at the front desk, my amazing make up & hair artist Georgia, my phenomenal photographer Abigal and the lovely girl that done my photoshoot viewing i can't thank u enough ❤️ I cried absolute tears of joy and genuinely can't believe this is me! A girl that has no self confidence and struggles with her body image! What a boost this was, I urge any woman who thinks they are not good enough to experience this 🥰
The whole experience at Andrew Wood Photography was fabulous!! Arrived to a very warm welcome! Make-up and hair was absolutely beautiful, my artist was Sandrine and she was awesome, very down to earth and put me at ease! My Photographer was Natasha, she was very professional and complimentary, making me feel very confident during the shoot (plus I'd had two pink gin and lemonades upon arrival!) I viewed the photos a week later with Carley and she was very helpful during the process. Overall my experience was positive and I enjoyed it very much! Highly recommend, definitely a confident boost! Thank you to all of the team x
Andrew Wood Photography Boudoir ExperienceHaving been through a lot of trauma from a 'Road Traffic Accident' (RTA) and the 'long road to recovery' it was so wonderful to win a 'free photoshoot' from AWP, '50 Shades of Grey' style. Disabled for life with much daily pain and chronic fatigue, and also being 'Hearing Impaired'... the different teams at AWP, took the time and care necessary every step of the 'empowerment' journey to boost my confidence.... getting to know me as a person, having had a life full of disappointments, where many like to take advantage of 'a disabled lady', ignorant to the fact that I still have a high I.Q. As a lady of 55 years and 9 months of age, I still have feelings and emotions as everyone does! ... and having the AWP teams be so caring, understanding and most of all patient....... gave me the time I needed to comprehend what was being conveyed, as I cannot lip-read on the phone. So awesome and loving to receive delightful texts, messages and the surprise packages by special delivery, to my home were perfectly lovely.......and so empowering with notes to remind me of what I need to remember, as women my age do get 'brain fog'! How excited I felt the days leading up to, and finally arriving for the booked '50 Shades of Grey photoshoot' prize package. With my adrenalin rush, walking through the entrance, I was greeted with the right ambience... giving me 'sensory' pleasure from the well designed lounge with comfy seating, mood lighting, audio-visual HD TV screen (see women who have been through the AWP experience, sharing how they felt throughout their tailor-made package). The lift upwards to the first floor to Andrew Wood Photography was beautifully decorated, and the receptionists were welcoming, serving me my choice of 'soft drink' as I relaxed ready for my 'makeover'. Sandrine, my MUA, and my designated professional photographer, Natasha, were definitely the best ladies chosen for me on the day. From a look with lovely, curly eyelashes (as I have straight eyelashes that don't curl naturally) with smoky eyes, and red lipstick '50 Shades of Grey' style I was studio ready after one hour. I was then given time to relax with my choice of herbal tea. Natasha, my darling photographer choreographed all the poses and the ideal set props to match my 3 corsets, lingerie and accessories that I had specially chosen for my 'tailor made package'. Such luxury and decadence, I felt 'renewed' and started 'shining' again like my younger self. It gave me the confidence and self worth to be proud of how far I have come, when doctors thought I would never walk and talk again, or be independent as I have always fought to be. The AWP team were so 'in-sync', and I felt comfortable chatting with each team member assigned to me, like we'd known each other for years.Loved the '50 Shades of Grey' photoshoot and the 'cinema viewing' one week later with Lydia from the 'Viewing Team'... serving me with my choice of apple juice, and popcorn on the table. Every photo was presented in colour and some in 'B and W', which had been edited to a very high standard. Under Lydia's recommendations, I got my free gift as promised with discount and offers of many different packages to purchase digital photos, photo albums, wall canvases, etc. It is very expensive like most luxury things in the UK, but there is a package to suit everyone's budget. I got just what I wished for... digital prints as a gift, and digital photos stored on a cute glass USB stick with 3D laser AWP logo in a uniquely designed presentation box. Andrew Wood Photography, my 5* Star review, is most deserving from the marketing and design team, and all other employees who make up the AWP teams... you are at the top for studios offering the 'boudoir experience' for empowering women, and now men, with tailor-made packages. The best experience in my life, and definitely 'disabled-friendly' and most respectful to my 'Invisible Disabilities', with a team of ladies who knew how to empower me as a 'disabled lady' 55 years young...with Arthritis, Chronic Fatigue, 'Hearing Impairment', 'Musculoskeletal Misalignment' and menopausal 'brain fog'! Many thanks with love and virtual hugs to everyone at Andrew Wood Photography... “Live every day empowering you too........!!!” Mrs Jacqueline Sham, known affectionately as 'Jazzy' Jacquie xxCity of Doncaster, Yorkshire UK
Great experience from start to finish. Great makeup artists and Alyssa (who was my session photographer) was absolutely brilliant. If I had one complaint about the process, it’s the waiting around, of which there is a fair bit. I know it’s to let you chill out before your shoot but still. The resulting pictures were fabulous (there is no other word for them) but it was a bit of a pain having to go back the following week to view them (a 60-70 minute trip for me) and obviously they have limited slots on weekends, so that meant I had to take a days holiday. They are also very expensive. I’d have loved one of their packages but I just couldn’t justify £1.4k on photographs.
I recently had my preview of my bridal photoshoot. They put together a lovely video montage of all the pictures cinema style... tThe video was lovely and made personal to me. Then they showed us all the photos in black and white & Colour at the same time to pick-out my favourites. After they showed us the Albums and USB pen drives and went though all of the other deals/offers, along with the customisation options. I did really enjoy my experience it can be ticked off my bucket list. During my appointment there was a lot of information given all at, which was a little overwhelming along with some "hard" selling. The options are on the pricey side and they do not disclosed that all the photos will be the same for both options, if you go for a package - Just a little heads up. Towards the end during the purchasing phase, my appointment ran over and was kinda off rush into another room, to complete the paperwork work etc. inorder for the next person to come in for there appointment. This was not very nice after a mostly enjoyable experience and amazing shoot. Over all it was a very unique and self-empowering time. I'm looking forward to receiving my album.
I loved the whole experience, the make up, hair and photographer were all amazing, and exactly what I expected. However, I hate the fact that you promote that people have “won a competition”. It’s not a competition if everyone wins. Why not just offer free shoots and then get people to buy the pictures? It’s the same marketing plan. I feel like you must think people are stupid to fall for the competition thing which really puts me off your brand. I was excited to see the pictures, however. They were really great and made me feel amazing. I would have bought and spent more money if they had been better value per picture but only came away with two prints for my £50 deposit. I think this is good value but to add any extra pictures or digital images was going to cost so much more it just wasn’t worth it in my opinion. There are other photographers locally who will do a shoot for around £350 + hair and make up where you get 15 digital edited photographs. Considering it was £649 for 10 at Andrew Wood, you can’t compare.Overall I would recommend my experience to others but I would warn you not to expect anything for nothing, because you haven’t really “won” anything.
What can I say! Just fantastic! Sandrine was my makeup artist and hair stylist, she is such a gorgeous person inside and out! She made me feel beautiful even before she turned me into a goddess! Really put me at ease and I absolutely adored my hair and makeup! Jess was my photographer and she was also so fabulous! Really made the shoot comfortable and fun, helped me with tricky straps etc… honestly the whole team, right from the initial call to Lydia on reception, it’s been amazing thank you! Can’t wait to see the photos today ❤️! Thank you, thank you! ❤️
Absolutely loved it, the makeover was great, the staff were all friendly, and the photographer was very calming and positive throughout the shoot, made me feel very comfortable. The viewing was a nice touch. Pricing is quite steep for the photos but you pay for the overall experience, and I would definitely do it again
