Review Time
I contracted a pick up of a sofa paying extra for a period of pick up. They did not sent me any information of the pick up time the previous And was only contact later in the day to ask me about the size of the sofa to confirm that they had an small truck not valid to pick up the sofa. After calling and writing several times without any response or confirmation I arranged an alternative solution. The did not agree to return the money I paid for a service not done. The worst customer service I have seen in years. Unacceptable.
Terri le company. They came completely unprepared, had no tools or belts to carry things. They had all the information upfront, twice, but the people on the call desk never passed on the information to the movers. After losing hours of my time, they agreed to send another team who never arrived and when I called back, the said they would not send it. They made excuses like I did not tell them the measurements of a piece of furniture, which they later admitted wasn't true and they did have the information, then it was the weight of that piece of furniture which they already knew when they agreed to send another team (normal weight). They finally said they don't care and would not return money. After fighting and chasing for weeks, hey agreed to return half. Horrible experience, I had to organise the move with another company, who turned up to be cheaper and moved everything in 2 hours. Do not recommend, Gave one star because I cannot give 0. I have organised many moves before and none came even close to this level of unprofessionalism.
We hired Anyvan (they somehow had some good reviews online) for our move from Valencia to Alicante about 15 weeks ago, a short road journey of only 166 kms/103 miles. Travel time of two hours. What an absolute disaster. A terrible company. Never again would I even contemplate hiring them, nor would I in my wildest dreams recommend them to even my worst enemy. Instead of coming in person to our apartment (their decision) to assess the size of the move, they asked us to make a video of the apartment so they could size the job. We sent them a very detailed video, covering every aspect of what was required. They subsequently gave us a quote which we accepted in good faith, and had to pay upfront. After they arrived they decided that their quote was far too low and demanded more money, otherwise they would not make the move - shocking. But they knew that we had no other realistic choice now. We were under a very strict timeline to move. We were all set for them to pack up everything (price included that they would do the packing, a big mistake on our part but only with the benefit of hindsight) and ready to go before this bombshell hit. We were left at this late stage with no other option but to pay the extra money. Because of space constraints on this review I am forced to exclude a lot of detail, however suffice to say that many items were damaged beyond repair, and broken on arrival in Alicante, a whole host of things were left behind in Valencia which we had to subsequently have moved to Alicante at our own expense, other items are still missing to this day, the apartment was left in a dreadful state, stuff strewn everywhere, and most terrible of all - they refused to take our 25-year old cactus that had been very carefully nurtured for all those years, because it was "too tall". And they never told us that they weren't going take it, they just left us to discover it back in Valencia for ourselves. This in spite of them taking a photo of it on arrival on day 1, admiring it, and reassuring us that it would be "no problem". It took many arguments, many phone calls, and finally the threat of legal action to force them to come back and take the cactus - 18 days later. To this day, almost 4 months later, we are still finding damaged and broken items as we open up yet another box. There is so much more that we could write about this move, but it is far too upsetting to have to recall every aspect. You will hire this company at your peril, so be warned. Never again. An Irish company called "Get Cracking" moved us all of 2,500 kms from Ireland to Valencia in 2023, and not even one single problem - the perfect move. A beautiful job. So be warned - hire anyone other than Anyvan. This kind of service is what gives the removals business a bad name.
