DHL should have delivered the package to my door for me to sign on delivery. It was an very expensive watch with the name of the brand in the label. It should have never been delivered to the reception. I never authorised for that. Thigs get stolen and these type of packages are risky. Do better next time.
DHL Express seems to have problems with delivery addresses. They find normal postal addresses confusing.The website is also very unclear. They state they will insure items up to £50 but if you state that the value of the item is £50 they will use it as a customs value. You won't see this on the envelope label as it's all bar-coded. So you will then be charged import duty on their insurance value!Also if you send documents, don't specify the actual documents by name as they will argue they are not 'documents'.
