Extremely Poor Delivery & No Accountability

I ordered goods on 21st November 2025. GLS emailed to say they attempted delivery on Friday 28th November, claiming nobody was home. This is simply untrue — I was home all day and no one rang the doorbell.Then on Sunday 30th November at 16:15, I received an email stating the package had been delivered. There was no photo, no signature, and no details of where it was supposedly left. When I arrived home, the parcel was nowhere to be found. I checked with neighbours and reviewed my CCTV footage, which clearly shows no GLS driver attempted a delivery at that time.Despite this, both GLS and the retailer repeatedly tried to shift the blame onto me, even though the correct address and Eircode were provided. The address was displayed oddly in one email, but all delivery details were correct. On three separate occasions, I was told it must be my fault.GLS stopped responding altogether. The retailer initially said there was nothing they could do because GLS marked it as delivered. I had to quote consumer rights law and outline the evidence required for a no-signature delivery, including CCTV, before any progress was made. I was prepared to escalate this legally and involve Gardaí to obtain further details if needed.Only then did the company issue a refund. GLS never apologised, never acknowledged the lost package, and never explained what happened to it.This experience shows a complete lack of accountability, poor communication, and unacceptable delivery practices. I would not trust GLS with valuable or important deliveries

I have had many packages arrive with…

I have had many packages arrive with good tracking in the past, all of which I believe was by GLS themselves. But recently I ordered something from Lidl and it's the first time they have lost my package? I think the problem might be that GLS use agencies to sometimes deliver when they can't, and they DO NOT have the same quality as them. I ordered my package 2 weeks ago, and the tracking got blocked on the 29/11. I rang three times and didn't receive a decent response as to what has happened to my parcel? Each time I ring the response is pathetic and very useless. They said one time "wait 48hr for a response" I waited... And nobody rang and nobody messaged me. Lidl are also being very unhelpful about the situation.

First class web site for tracking my parcel from India.Regular updates at each stage from dispatch, then a google style map showing where the vehicle was on the final stage. Best tracking service ever used, others take note!!

Absolutely disgusted

Absolutely disgusted - a very expensive gift has been taken off my door step due to the incompetence of DHL employees. An order that clearly states "requires a signature'. After changing the delivery date with very little notice I was unaware the package was arriving. Now I need to go through the rigmarole of getting the item replaced!! Let's hope this doesn't spoil Christmas!!
