My mother ordered a rug on 4th December…

My mother ordered a rug on 4th December off Amazon and was to be delivered by gls...it's now the 23rd of December and still no sign....no update since it hit gls depot in Netherlands..an absolute disgrace

Very disappointed with GLS

Very disappointed with GLS, a Christmas present travelled from Poland to France in 2 days, France to Ireland in 2 days and then I had to wait 6 days for it to hit the Irish depot, only to be told they were prioritising businesses and were hoping to do residential addresses at the weekend. But probably not rural houses. Had to drive an hour to collect the package myself to make sure I had a present for someone. I dont pay shipping just to collect the item that you are meant to deliver.Avoid GLS like the plague

KEEP CLEAR AT ALL COSTS. …

The designer was brilliant and talked us through each bedroom. This was a big job , 4 large bedrooms and a media room .The refurbishment a very large Victorian house. We were given the contracts for each room and were given a schedule of one week to finish everything. We scheduled all the wooden floors to be fitted and finished,before the job started and We had the carpet fitters scheduled for the following week. Day 1 . The two fitters had the whole house for storage but failed to find certain pieces. Day 2 they half finished one room and then started on another Day 3 One bedroom finished Day 4 started on the third bedroom leaving bedroom 2 unfinished Day 5 FINAL DAY . Sorry we can’t finish , we aren’t coming back either as we have any job to start on Monday. The office were not answering my calls so a very curt call to the salesman / designer and they can come back with a date to finish . ONE MONTH LATER . Sorry but who leaves a job unfinished to start a new one ? Then give a date a month away ? How can I finish the project? My client isn’t going to accept this as they have buyers waiting to view the property. Needless to say this took days and weeks to finish. It took five weeks and we got a fitter for two days here and there. Once the job was finished I have been bombarded with texts, emails and phone calls for payment. Unfortunately due to all this stress they caused, I had to delay others and change their contract dates . Costing me thousands of pounds and end up in hospital with pneumonia Needless to say I am not giving this company one star there fitters are fed up of being used and abused and the organisation behind the scenes is a disaster. But their accountant couldn’t care less . Oh and compensation if £200 is deemed acceptable. DI NOT USE

GLS the WORST courier in the world.Ordered an item from Germany and the store made a terrible mistake of shipping via GLS.Item arrived in Ireland but GLS delivered my item to a stranger in another building that I have no access to and without my consent. I was not available to receive the package because they rang my bell at 10 PM when I was already in bed.GLS refused to admit fault saying that it is their policy to leave parcels to strangers willing to take it. - this is a direct quote. If you don't think that is idiotic then GLS is the courier for you.They eventually had the driver pick it up from the stranger and had it delivered to my address after filling several complaints. They still did not admit fault and even had the audacity of saying that they did not have to do it and only did it as a show of good faith. Imagine hiring a courier and only delivering the item you paid them to do as a "good faith gesture". I don't know why they are still in business.
