Severance and Ted Lasso are genuinely excellent television and I will not take that away from Apple TV+. But I cannot justify paying a monthly subscription for two shows I've already watched when the rest of the library feels like it was curated by someone who has never actually sat down and watched television for fun. Every time I open the app looking for something new I end up back on Netflix within ten minutes. The hits are real but they're too few and too far between to carry an entire subscription.
Be very very careful when trusting that Apple TV customer service will do what they say. Last November, I forgot to cancel my auto subscription for a 3-month free promo. The DAY AFTER it ended, I called customer service, they assured me they were cancelling the subscription WITHOUT ANY CHARGES. Satisfied and happy, I left it at that. This morning I got a notification from Transunion that my score had dropped 80 points! I was pretty pissed so looked up why. Apparently Apple decided to put a charge on the credit bureaus for $6.20 (adding .10 every month since) that blew my perfect 790 score. I've complained, but it's really hard to get that credit back up for $6 unknown bucks. Please folks, beware. Double check everything Apple tells you, they are sleaze.
Since the significant update in mid-December 2025, I have been unable to access any services. I have spent over 4 hours with customer support, uninstalled everything, and tried multiple devices to log in, but nothing works. I strongly recommend staying away from this platform; it's been a frustrating experience.
It's incredibly frustrating to attempt to watch anything because of the constant buffering on two different smart TVs, while other apps work fine. There’s not much content available without a purchase, and I'm glad I only tried the free trial; I would never consider paying for this service.

If I could give this zero stars, I would. What a nightmare! I created an account, watched one show, and then faced an undisclosed issue that prevented me from logging in. It trapped me in a support loop where I couldn't proceed because it required me to log in first. I called support multiple times, but no one helped. After paying for a service I can't use, I requested a cancellation and refund, but the status email I received was completely wrong. This might be the worst streaming service ever. I’ve never had such problems with other platforms. It's shocking how poor the service is.
The service stopped loading on my TV in early October. Despite multiple interactions with support via email and phone, and hours spent troubleshooting, they stopped responding to my ticket. In mid-November, it worked occasionally, but now I'm back to a grey loading screen. I've learned that contacting support is pointless.
