As a recent grad with limited experience, Apply Hero helped tremendously. It highlighted my internships and project work effectively. I applied to 500+ entry-level positions. Got five interviews despite the competitive market. The entry-level filter actually works, unlike other sites. I already accepted an offer. The custom cover letters for new graduates were particularly impressive.
People complaining about Apply Hero need patience. It's not instant magic. I spent 45 minutes configuring everything properly. The first batch had some mismatches. I added those terms to exclusions. Problem solved. Now getting 10+ quality applications daily. All relevant. Four interviews so far. One offer on the table. For $29, it’s saved me countless hours. The support team responds within 24 hours consistently.
Tried a few job application tools before landing on Apply Hero. It's more reliable thanmost, though it does have its quirks. The setup took me longer than advertised (about 30mins to get everything right), but once running it was pretty hands-off. Got about 60-70applications out in two weeks, which led to 4 callbacks and eventually my current role. The tracking feature could use some work - sometimes applications would show aspending"" forever. But for the price, can't really complain. Would use again and definitely""recommend the product.
I saw reviews about filter problems. They're fixable! The key is being very specific with your parameters. Location filters work perfectly if you use city names + radius. Keyword exclusions prevent irrelevant applications. Getting 15-20 applications daily now, all matching my criteria. I started getting callbacks within a week. Three interviews schedules already. Worth the subscription fee for the time saved alone.
This product is not ready for production. You have no way of seeing what the applications actually include. Supposedly it includes a cover letter/customised CV but there's no way to tell if this is actually the case. The jobs that you choose manually never get applied to, it just keeps moving the application date back and they never get sent. To the rest of the jobs, it only sends a handful of applications every few days. I obviously have 0 interviews and really feel like this is basically a scam, or else a tool that could be good but is no where near ready for production, let alone paying customers.
The standout feature is how Apply Hero gets past ATS systems. My manually submitted applications weren’t getting through. Apply Hero formatted my resume perfectly for each company's ATS. I started getting callbacks immediately. Six interviews in three weeks after months of silence. The subscription literally paid for my new job. The keyword optimization feature alone is worth the price.
The video demo showcases rapid job applications and impressive marketing, but the reality is quite different. In short, this product feels underdeveloped, with poor engineering and a frustrating user experience.- The filters are restricted to location, included keywords, and excluded keywords. You’ll need to manually filter out unrelated jobs to prevent the bot from applying to irrelevant positions. Even then, it still applies to jobs you’ve blacklisted.- The bot searches and applies to jobs one by one, managing only around 8 applications per day. The whole point of using a bot is to increase application volume, but 8 per day is disappointingly low.Overall, this product feels borderline scammy. I wouldn’t recommend it. A complete waste of money.
I wanted specifically early-stage startups. Other sites mix everything together. Apply Hero's startup filter actually works. I set parameters for company size and funding stage. Applied to 32 perfect-match startups. Four interviews. Two offers from Series A companies. The startup database is surprisingly comprehensive. Updated weekly with new ventures. Even shows funding round information. No more wasting time figuring out company stages manually.
Finding H-1B sponsorship felt impossible before Apply Hero. Their visa sponsorship filter actually works! I selected "work visa sponsorship" in preferences. Applied to 45 companies in two weeks. All were genuinely open to international candidates. No more wasting time on jobs that won't sponsor. The platform automatically highlighted my unique international perspective in cover letters. I received 4 interviews with companies known for hiring international talent. One offer already with full visa support! Customer service helped me optimize my profile specifically for visa-friendly employers. Worth every penny for international students struggling with the sponsorship search.
