Did not work for a Business Development…

Did not work for a Business Development Manager with 10 years of experience. Probably better suited for people within a specific field like HVAC, Retail, etc. I paid $29.00 for an inbox full of rejections even after I chatted support and they programmed the AI on the back end.

International Jobs 👍

I was a little skeptical about international roles before signing up to Apply Hero because most of the job search pages are US jobs, but it was great. I got the Pro plan and landed 2 interviews.

prepare for disappointment

within 2 minutes of paying $29 for a month's subscription, I knew i'd been scammed. don't do it!there simply aren't any viable (recent) jobs to apply for on this app, and the search filters don't work at all. Also, don't waste your time trying to contact them, they will simply ignore you.as per the t&c's: "All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for any purchases or subscriptions"

ApplyHero: Misleading AI Claims and Fundamental Flaws

My experience with ApplyHero was deeply disappointing due to several critical issues:Inaccurate Job Filtering and Misrepresented AI: The platform's Auto Apply feature consistently failed to adhere to my strict filter settings, applying to irrelevant positions. Their claims of AI-driven job matching based on resumes are demonstrably false. The "AI" capabilities, if they exist, are rudimentary and do not justify the subscription cost.Inadequate AI Resume Generation: The AI resume tool produces overly simplistic, generic content unsuitable for professional applications requiring detail and specificity. It is essentially useless for roles beyond entry-level.Flawed Job Scraping: ApplyHero's job scraping from major platforms like LinkedIn and Indeed is unreliable. Numerous listings resulted in "page not found" errors, suggesting potentially false application submissions.Unsatisfactory Customer Support: When requesting a refund due to these issues, customer support was uncooperative, offering excuses rather than addressing the platform's failures.Suspected White-Label Platform: The platform's limited features and the support team's access to hidden settings suggest it may be a simple white-label application, raising concerns about its authenticity.Potential for Falsely Marked Applications: The prevalence of dead links raises serious concerns that the platform may be marking applications as sent to positions that no longer exist.Location and Domain Discrepancy: The company's claim of a US presence (619 area code) contradicts its domain registration in Iceland, raising concerns about transparency and legitimacy. Meaning you can't submit a complaint to BBB.I strongly advise against using ApplyHero. It fails to deliver on its advertised AI capabilities and exhibits fundamental flaws that render it ineffective.

This website is a total scam

This website is a total scam — do not even try it. The filters don’t work: you select “Europe” to apply for jobs in the EU, but it ends up applying to completely irrelevant U.S. positions. It only applies to 20 jobs instead of the 200 it promised. The owner (I assume his name is Luke) doesn’t respond in chat, and there isn’t even a chatbot available to ask questions. To “fix” the problem, he says you need to schedule something. I thought this was AI‑powered, but it simply sent my CV to 20 unrelated companies

Such scammers

Such scammers! I've paid $59 for the highest package, and it's a total scam. Don't even try it. they would just apply for a few jobs on the first day, and that's it. I don't even think they use AI tbh, they apply to totally different jobs outside of the criteria, different countries, different roles, totally not related at all. I've paid 59 dollars for +1000 applications, as they said, and I've gotten exactly 20 applications for the past 1 month, and all of them are out of my criteria and are in different countries from the one I chose, and I got the rejection emails straight away. I think they would just apply normally (not AI) to a few in the beginning to make you think it's an AI, but it's actually not. And they're not responding to any live chat, emails, NONE! They would just leave you like that. Don't recommend it at all.------------Reply to Applyhero: you didn't apply to hundered I can see it in front of me it's exactly around 25 application. And I only set it to a remote location when I didn't get any results. That was after 2 weeks of setting my criteria. And you only responded to me for my first message. I've been trying to contact you for the past 3 weeks on the live chat and email, and you would just ignore me. If you want to make that right, just refund me my money otherwise, you're just trying to show people that it's my fault, not yours.

Scammers

Scammers. I paid for the $57 package for 1000 applies, and it only applied to 25 jobs. They took my money and I never heard back from their customer support via chat or email. I will be filing a BBB REPORT. Stay far away from this service, you will not get what you pay for. The bot applied for roles in science when I was looking for roles in marketing. Such a waste.

Barebones, not very useful

Edit in reply to ApplyHero:- Does not link to the actual job posting it is applying or already applied to. Doesn't even list the title/type of the position. Just shows the company name and links to their website.--- ApplyHero's response to this states that in the *JOB SEARCH* it shows the position and company, not in the submitted applications page. This means that jobs this tool applies for agentically or that you select manually cannot be audited. Can't visit the post, can't see the job description, can't see what the AI did.- Doesn't tell you what was written in the job application. Stunning lack of transparency overall. No way to validate what it does or tune it- Will apply to the same companies and jobs multiple times.--- ApplyHero's response is that sometimes the company made a new form for the same job. I'm not sure how this diminishes this complaint. It's applying to the same jobs, I got emails indicating as much. What if I don't want to apply to that posting or company? Nothing you can do.- Lists "pending" applications. But they are sent in about 24 hours or less. Sometimes they are sent immediately. You cannot reschedule these or indicate a preferred time to apply.--- ApplyHero says it automatically finds the perfect time to apply. It has not applied at night for me, it's been completely random. Nor do you know where I live, so how do you know if it's night for me? What if I'm applying to something overseas?- The system for excluding keywords or companies is not very good. Cannot exclude pending or already applied to positions/companies.--- ApplyHero misunderstood the complaint. I didn't state you cannot cancel pending jobs. My issue is that you cannot take pending or applied to jobs and mark the position or company as something you'd like to exclude in the future. The filtering on this site is not very sophisticated.Assuming ApplyHero isn't a scam, it's not a very well made abstraction over some simple RPA. It lacks a lot of quality of life features and transparency that would justify the cost or even assure me it's doing its job well if at all. Put simply, it's not worth the money and I have little trust in it due to how the application functions and how it's customer support operates.ApplyHero is also attempting to strong arm Trustpilot into having me share my email, full name, reference number, and phone number with ApplyHero in order to "recognize my review as genuine". I don't want to share that and risk retaliation. I'm sharing my honest opinion, such a strong reaction is a bad sign. The sudden influx of positive reviews after the wave of negative reviews dropped ApplyHero to one star is also a bad sign. Their downright disingenuous, combative, or demonstrably false replies to other negative reviews is a bad sign.

Apply Hero helped me land my current

Apply Hero helped me land my current position after 2 months of searching. The freeversion is okay but limited - upgrading to premium was worth it for me. It's not perfect -sometimes it matched me with jobs that weren't quite right, and occasionally theautomatic cover letter needed editing. But overall it saved me countless hours ofscrolling through job boards. The daily application reports were really helpful to keeptrack of everything. Just don't expect it to do 100% of the work for you.
