Two months after signing — no response, no installation, no accountability

I signed a contract with Arise Solar in August 2025, after being clearly told that installation would occur in October. It’s now been over two months, and I still have no confirmed installation date and no meaningful response from the company. After repeated calls and emails, I was finally told that “stock is not there,” with vague promises of a possible installation “sometime in November.” Since then — complete silence. No follow-up, no update, and no indication of when, or even if, the work will happen. This level of disorganisation and lack of communication is unacceptable for a company advertising itself as professional and reliable. I’ve had to escalate the matter to Consumer and Business Services SA just to get some accountability.

!!!DON’T USE ARISE SOLAR!!!

After a back and fourth communication and constant discussion about solar/usage and cost/benefit analysis I arrived at my decision to get a 13.6kw system with 15kw battery and inverter. I submitted photos of the power box and proposed battery location as requested. I asked for an ALL INCLUSIVE quote (No surprises- start to finish/switching on my power inclusive quote). Everything was going well with helpfulness and customer service until I paid my first instalment of $6990. I was told it would be 2 months from first booking to the installation of my Solar, then possibly two weeks until I would have a complete solar system with inverter/battery etc. After paying the first half of the job $6990 this is where things took a dramatic turn for the worst. Each and every time a booking or inspection was made the team arrived on the wrong day- awful if you work shift work and need sleep. I had submitted requested photos and on the first day was told I’d have to give the boys an extra $1500 cash on the day to put battery and inverter in a new location because it was too close to the hot water system. (Even though the photo I supplied them for the location of the battery/inverter has the hot water system visible). “But Miss it’s because of the length of the cable needed and yes miss we didn’t know that the hot water was there.” It also meant we now had to pour a slab for the said inverter/battery. You’d think this would be simple enough however between the call centre and the installers we were given 3 different measurements and sizes for the slab. With each contradictory measurement being punctuated with a “but Miss I AM TELLING YOU what the measurements are so you can do this” followed by another call to double check measurements only to be told a different set of specs. The level of arrogance in these guys’ voice you’d think they were never wrong, it was quite the opposite. They were wrong every.single. time. It would seem no one knew the specs for the battery/inverter. As we were quickly learning clearance is required from pumps/pipes/windows and doors it is extremely important from a compliance perspective to have accurate measurements. Ironically within the Arise company they refer to each other as ‘experts’ a term I have learned through experience is a term used loosely if you’re from another country. After approx 10 phone calls and 4 change of minds as to the aCtUaL measurement of said system we finally poured the slab. A stroke of luck did come our way when I was chatting to a leccy mate who pointed out my power box was at the back of the house and it would require a MAJOR upgrade being moved to the front of the house before having the solar turned on. At this point Arise solar has conducted three site inspections. At no time did they flag this as an issue. I called Arise to question if the quote included all costs for the upgrade. “Yes Miss.” I shared my concerns that a mate had said the meter box needs to be at the front of the house. “What Miss?! Why didn’t you tell us where your meter box was? The guys on site didn’t tell us it was at the back!? Miss you must tell us. You will need to get someone to move it locally before we switch the power on.” Right so I have to pay an extra $5000/$8000 to move a meter box that wasn’t included in the price mid work. I brought it to their attention again that the quote was all inclusive. His response “yes miss it is but you will need to get someone to move your power box!”If they weren’t catty in their tone of voice on the phone they loved to pontificate how I should get things fixed so they could continue their work. At no point did they take ownership or acknowledge any obligation from their company to be true to their word. It was a master class in avoiding responsibility. They then ghosted me for 3weeks. No phone call nothing with boxes of sh*t left all over the place.I’ve since requested a refund. Hopefully I get my money back. $6990. I’ll update the post once I get it.

Quite possibly the WORST company I have…

Quite possibly the WORST company I have ever dealt with. It took 4 months to get my battery installed. It has been in for 2 months and trips constantly. The customer service personnel are so rude and rubbish. They say they’ll call you back and never do. Then they get annoyed when you follow up and are annoyed no progress has been made. I had to request to be kept in the loop. I would not recommend this company to anyone. It has been 6 months of solid headaches and excuses from this disaster of an organisation. They’re nice and helpful until you pay your deposit and then they ghost you. If I could give them zero stars I would! If they dare write back and tell me to call customer service, I will have over 20 emails and phone calls already logged to that useless division.

Non compliant system

Non compliant systemAbsolutely pathetic, Energex and myself have spent 2 years trying to get them to make my system compliant, they do not answer emails and dont return phone calls Avoid them at all costSee below from EnergexThis case was found non-compliant in 2024. That is almost 2 years that we have provided Arise time to overcome this issue. I am unfortunately not able to provide flexibility anymore.

FIRE 🔥 HAZARD + HOLE IN CEILING

They use apprentices who are unsupervised and work not checked as I was left with no lights as wires were connected incorrectly, overloading and tripping circuit. FiRE HAZARD 🔥 for nearly a week in 2 story with 2 young children. I also found a hole in my ceiling by looking up whilst taking a shower. The hole was patched, leaving paint, dust and plaster everywhere for me to clean up. It's been over 2 weeks and heard nothing about the sanding and painting still needed. I have now had to pay someone to fix and finish and electrician to make sure we are safe without fire hazard. They told me they can't compensate me as the amount being paid just covers cost of panels and inverter, how insulting. Companies make profit to exist and people don't work or provide services for free!! Guess I will get some court clothes!

I am the real customer 932070

I am the real customer, contract number 932070. I paid AUD35,000 for my entire system plus the solar battery. They kept changing the brand from when i first quoted after i paid and signed the contract. They abuse every right of you as a consumer. They were very pushy to get the deposit then It took them 2 years to come install it but they didn't do proper job. When you kept ringing them to ask, the person who sold the system to me Davis changed his attitude and was very rude. Besides, they sent different electrician everytime. Their electrician didn't advise us that our meter wasn't compatible and they turned on the system which cost us a AUD 7000 electricity bill with Origin, which we're still paying off. They promised to speak to their manager, it's been 3 years, no solution. After all the hassles, they finally sent someone to install my solar battery, but it stopped working after 8 months. I contacted them, they told me they had no electrician to come to my area. That solar battery costs about AUD 10,000! They promise to call back, but they never. They apologise but no solution. Their warranty is bullshit. They just will not come to fix it when the system is faulty. Please do not waste your money. Those AUD35,000 is definitely my hard earned money. I am still dealing with Jesse and Ethan about my solar battery, i do not even know if that's their real name and it has been another 7 months of frustration now! Terrible. But if you're like me facing the same issue with them, do save every conversation you have with them for legal action.

My solar has not been connected to the meter

My solar has not been connected to the meter yet. They have not sent paperwork even after following up multiple times. Noah stopped replying on email or picking phone once Solar was installed and I paid for it. Do not expect any seriousness from them. They will hire third party and say its not in their hands to generate ewr

I had solarDisappointed with Arise Solar Installation and Support installed by Arise Solar on…

I had solar installed by Arise Solar on 14/08/2024, expecting a seamless process and reliable support. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. After noticing an issue with no energy transfer from the inverter to the power meter, I first reported the problem on 25/09/2024. Despite raising detailed observations, the job was closed prematurely, forcing me to chase up Energex (distributor) and Alinta (retailer) repeatedly. After months of effort, it was finally proven that the issue stemmed from incorrect wiring during installation, which is Arise’s responsibility—not the energy provider’s.It has now been over three months since I first raised concerns, and I am still unable to access the feed-in tariff. This has caused significant financial loss and stress, particularly as I am on a disability pension. Despite follow-ups, including an email sent on 28/11/2024, Arise has not provided a resolution or compensation for their faulty installation.I am extremely disappointed with Arise Solar's lack of accountability, their premature closure of my initial job, and the ongoing delays in resolving the issue. I cannot recommend their services to others based on this experience.

Didn’t make it to installation

Didn’t make it to installation. 2 dates for delivery of materials went by with no materials or phone call, phone call on a Saturday morning to say delivery is happening today, cancelled our plans again for no to turn up. Same deal with installation after 2 dates when no one called or turned up and never an apology for wasting our time. No communication between their departments. I decided to pull the plug, if this is how hard it is to get materials delivered and installed I can’t imagine what the service would be like if we had a post installation issue
