Bait and switch scam artists

Credit Karma provided a number of companies for refinancing my auto loan on a 2019 car. Autopay advertised a rate about 2 points below my current loan. An agent called and took info, only to call back to say that due to the age of my car, they could only offer a rate that was basically the same as my present loan. HELLO! the date of my car was part of the initial offer! My FICO score is above 800, so that's not an excuse! This is a scam! Stay away from these hucksters!

Shopper beware

Shopper beware. This is a very horrible company and A waste of time and delay. Customer service is horrible and no help at all. Their rates are outrageous even with perfect excellent credit. They are other companies worthwhile. If you’re looking for a loan go to your local credit union. This company sucks.

BEWARE DISHONEST BAIT AND SWITCH

BEWARE. This is atypical bait and switch. I was told they a lender approved refi that would cut my interest rate and monthly payment. THEN when we talked on the phone, their refi rate (8%) was higher than my current rate (6%), their payment was higher and Auto Pay wanted a $4,000 down payment. My retirement income is over $100k and my credit score is 777. They are crooks looking for the gullible.

I refinanced my truck for $93,000 with…

I refinanced my truck for $93,000 with $0 down with my credit union bank. and was making payments of $1,560. I received a letter from AP Autopay claiming I was pre-qualified for a refinance with payments of $1,369. The letter made it sound simple and guaranteed.I applied, provided all the information they requested (SSN, driver’s license, pay stubs, registration, etc.) and they performed a hard credit check. Within an hour, I received an email saying lenders would only refinance me if I put $48,000 down — which was never mentioned in the pre-approval letter. When I responded questioning this, all of the emails I had from them suddenly disappeared from my mailbox. This entire process felt misleading, like a bait-and-switch tactic to collect personal information under false promises.⚠️ Be very careful — in my opinion, this company is dishonest and wastes your time. They advertise “pre-approval” with specific payments, but after getting all your sensitive information, they change the terms completely. And then when you are questioning them immediately you are getting a message “ your application has been canceled”.If you care about your personal information and time, I would recommend avoiding this company.

Feeling aggrieved by the experience…

Feeling aggrieved by the experience with Autopay. Firstly, interest rate advertised on credit karma was grossly exaggerated. However it still seemed to make sense to save a small amount on interest. During process at no point was it explained to me that their would be an exorbitant fee included with the change of bank/ financier. A fee of over 10% of my actual loan was added to principal without me knowing about it. When I brought this up after completion of process the sales rep explained to me that they are not required to disclose the fee. Now I am paying more than I originally had, completely nullifying the intent of refinancing in the first place. The sales representative is not going to try and save you money. They are clearly entrapping consumers with a well rehearsed an anti-consumer practice. I feel scammed by this business and seeking legal advice.

Beware of the Deception where they offer you an approved loan and then they blast your application around and you get hit with a bunch of inquiries. This will be a legal matter. Interestingly you will find a dozen or so complaints about the same abuse

Bait and Switch all the way..

Bait and Switch all the way..DO NOT under any circumstances do business with this company!! They will send you a letter saying one thing and then, after a hard credit check regardless of how good your score is tell you something completely different. The rate on my letter was 6%, the rate they quoted me was 13%. Shady as they come. Just fishing for suckers and don't care how they do it.
