Don't waste your time. I used the Weward walking app and purchased a full year's subscription. I used the app for a long time and accumulated 10,000 points. When I requested a withdrawal via PayPal, they blocked my account without providing any evidence of fraud. This app is a scam and doesn't want to pay you.

Really struggling with this company. When things go well, it’s a great app, but the second you have an issue it’s like banging your head against a brick wall. I have messaged to try to establish why I have been denied my premium status despite meeting all the required parameters and supplying evidence I gathered from their own app and I just get a standard “computer says no” message back. This has happened multiple times. It’s just not a good way to treat loyal customers - I’ve made logical points and asked questions to highlight the error and I’m not being totally ignored. Very frustrating, particularly as I’ve been an advocate of this product up until now.
Here is the response I sent them after I couldn't record my steps for 3 days and all i did was log out and log back in. All they keep on sending me are canned responses telling me there was fraud so the entire account was shut down. This is likely a canned response and no human. After diligently recording for over 330 days and waiting to cash out until I accumulated 10,000 this is incredibly disappointing and I highly recommend to people to not use this app. Here is my email that got the canned response: Hello,I am writing to respectfully request a manual review of the permanent restriction placed on my WeWard account.I understand that your systems detected activity that was flagged as irregular. However, I would like to clarify that I have never knowingly used WeWard in a way that violates the terms of service, nor have I attempted to manipulate step counts or rewards. After I was unable to convert my steps for several days (and sent notes to WeWard noting the problem), I simply tried to log out and log back in when I got a message stating what I did was fraudulent. If the activity was caused by a technical issue, device change, synchronization behavior, or misunderstanding of normal usage patterns, I would sincerely appreciate the opportunity for a human review of the data that led to this decision. Given that I have been using WeWard daily for over 330 days which required commitment and at times cost, I believe I deserve the respect of an uncanned human response given that this means I will lose over 5,500 wewards and many collected cards. To be clear because WeWard believes that I am acting fraudulently I am losing a cash value of over $80 which I have earned and I do not take lightly when asked by others to comment or recommend WeWards value.I fully respect WeWard’s responsibility to protect the community and prevent abuse.However given their was no abuse I’m aware of, at the same time, I am asking whether a manual audit could confirm whether this flag may have been applied in error.If reinstatement is absolutely not possible, I would still appreciate confirmation of whether this decision was made following a human review or solely through automated detection. And I request that my wewards that were awarded to me prior to this glitch be returned to me so I cash out. Thank you for your time and consideration.
I had been using WeWard for about 7 months and at 6745 Wards, I was nearing the 7000 Wards mark which would allow me to collect $100. So, out of the blue, my account was banned. I was supposed to receive an email with details as to what terms I was violating, but got nothing. When I contacted WeWard, all I got was a generic message stating I had violated their terms and conditions with no explanation as to what those violations were and I was invited to open another account.
Weward deactivated my account without cause. Claiming falsification of data source information being received. The data received was from a reliable source the app allows which is a Fitness Tracker. When pressed was given a generic response offering no solution, months/weeks of data and rewards lost. My account has now been banned!!. After the First initial payout, I guess this is the practice expected to be used to prevent any further activity or payouts.
This app is a scam. I had it for over a year. As soon as I redeemed a reward my account was blocked and the reward was refused. I literally took me a year to get enough coins to redeem a $25 gift card. Customer service said I cheated. You only get blocked when you redeem the rewards, as long as you are allowing them to mine your data, flood you with ads to gamble and engage in other risky behavior, you can use the app. When my 77 year old mother redeemed her points, she was immediately blocked. Customer service asked for her IRS taxes last year to prove she was residing in the United States. They only gave this option when she disclosed her age, this is elder abuse; stealing the personal and confidential data. My father was also blocked when he redeemed his coins. As was my mother-in-law. That is three different households, with different habits and usage. The only thing in common is that as soon as you redeem your coins you are blocked and your gift card is revoked. Read the App Store. All the negative reviews are forced to the bottom as they upvote as helpful the positive reviews and reply to them.
I have been having continuous problems with this weward app ever since I downloaded it. It is resetting my steps at 6:00 p.m. standard Central Time everyday instead of 12:00 midnight. So I am unable to participate in the nightly activities. The second main concern that I am having is that I have referred at least three people and I know at least one of them have converted their steps for more than 3 days but I'm still unable to connect with them. I have tried to reach out to their customer service three different times with my concerns and I have yet to get one response back. Not sure what else to do at this point for assistance..
Scam overall. When you get to higher “leagues,” playing against bots becomes much more apparent. That said, you have non-existent chances of actually winning. On Sunday before awarding rank, the bots will “majestically” get 1000s of points to ensure you don’t get higher-level wards. If in it for the monetization part… get out now. If use it to motivate for walking…so be it. Very deceptive when originally presented with an add etc…
