I didn't even apply to them. Credit Karma tricked me and next thing I know, they pulled my credit. Their rep called and they have the craziest APR I have ever heard, I have over 800 credit score. This company is a scam. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!
I provided all relevant information to Autopay for a used car purchase. Two days later I called to inquire why I hadn't heard anything. The operator told me they were waiting on me to provide the car VIN. No one told me this previously. She apologized and then said that Autopay was 'really slow' about follow-up! I emailed the VIN and a few hours later was told there are no lenders in my state. I added a star to my review because the operator was friendly and communicative.
Bait and switch! Do not fall into the trap!!!As many have stated, I fell for it too. I refused a hard credit pull until receiving assurances that my interest rate would be lower (agent’s name, date and time documented) only to be told that my interest rate would be the same or higher than my current terms. I filed a dispute with Experian to have the hard pull removed. I have no idea how or why AutoPay is rated so high. They are clearly unethical, and have no problems telling you what you want to hear only to have it negatively impact your credit score.
I was worried this company would be a scam but I researched it first & it all seemed good. I went with AutoPay primarily due to the customer service agent who worked with me. Cristina A was professional, communicative, and never high pressured. I appreciated her approach & it was obviously effective as I did get matched to a company (small but well established credit union) for my car refi loan.
The worst company! Sent me a letter saying we could refinance your car: I spoke with an unplaced person. Her name is Nate, and she did not ask if that was a commercial or personal vehicle. She gathered all my info, including address, zip code, first name, last name, if we paid rent or its house, and if it is still underpayments or paid off. I asked her twice if you would look up my info since you sent me a letter and why you asked so many personal questions. She was rude, and after the last question, She asked if it was for personal or business use. I responded it's for Both. She says we can not refinance it. I wondered why you did not ask this before all the questioning. She said Goodbye! Can you believe it's a scam and they will sell all your info !! Make sure to ask if they cover personal or business first before providing your info !!!
I have a car loan for my new auto (Nov 2023). I paid the balance down quite a bit so was looking to refinance at a lower rate. My initial conversation with them told me that they could beat my present loan but to do that I would need to go through the app process and incur one hard credit pull. I agreed and the process was started. I got a call a day or so later from a loan agent assigned to my case - needed to confirm some info. I was busy at that time so asked them to call back. After over a week of me calling back with no response, I elevated to her manager who reassigned my case to another loan agent. They told me the first place that did the hard pull could not beat my rate so they were checking other options - and ding, another hard pull. This second person was very responsive, but the APR on the new rate (although technically the interest rate was lower) was higher than my present loan (due to additional fees to be charged of over $500)! I declined and re-locked my credit to avoid any additional dings. Bottom line, end result was 2 hard credit pulls with nothing to show for it. Had they inquired into my credit with a soft pull, they could have seen I have a high credit score and could have saved me a lot of time giving me some representative rates.Don't waste your time with this outfit.
I received a letter stating I could refi my auto loan. The quote was i could save $72. a month with an interest rate of 1.2% less what i am paying now. Gave the agent all my info, and was contacted later with a loan specialist.Even though I have owned my house for over 27 years, and my credit score is 871, they said I can only get a rate .6% higher but can take out a longer term loan. First of all I was insulted what they explained to me and also believe they throw a much better rate at you to pursue the offer. BAD CHOICE who is reading this truthful and accurate review.
