if i could give them a minus star they'd get -10 absolute cowboys , state an item is covered then when you try and claim suddenly they invoke the "wear and tear" on the very item they state is covered ,they then close down the claim and refuse any further communication without sending the necessary letter so the ombudsman cannot get involved either .There was another occasion on this same "warranty" that i tried to claim , they made it so complicated and drawn out i gave up .
Car developed a fault whilst being delivered. Called this company and initially it sounded promising. Take to a VAT registered garage and get a quote. So I did. Over 24 hours later they respond, so not within their time promise. They then found an incorrect part and suggested this was supplied. They wouldn't accept that it was the incorrect part, as per other reviews, rudely and bluntly insisting I was wrong. I wasn't. Part they were trying to supply was for a manual variant of the car, and supplier had incorrect OEM number listed. Managed to persuade the dealer to just sort, which they did. So no pay out here, unless the dealer managed to negotiate!Second issue. EML On. Take to garage for diagnosis. Send quote to them. Now I confess, I did just authorise the garage to proceed, which is against their procedure, but my thinking was this:* The vehicle was always going to be fixed. Paid for by the warranty company or not.* As they seek to pay the minimum possible, they would never have paid the invoice total. They would have paid £75 (maybe) for an hours labour, and about £30 for a cheap aftermarket part. * Waiting for authorisation therefore, adds no value to the process, as if they didn't approve, I would have paid. * If they had approved, I'd have still paid the difference between what they would have paid and the genuine ford part and difference in labour rate. They then voided the claim as I was out of process. Not a penny. I'll leave readers to decide how they feel about this, but for me it's pure payment avoidance. I accept that I am technically in the wrong, but hey, they can fail to respond in 24 hours as per the first claim. So I get that to make money they need to pay out as little as possible, but crikey, they take this to an extreme. Please also observe the condescending response they will no doubt offer to this review, as another example of their customer service. I'm sure it will make for good reading.
Im greatful for Autoselect warranties help. I had an issue with my car going into limp mode and cutting out. My garage told me the issue was my DPF, Turbo and manifold. My warranty claim limit was £1000 and my garage quoted me £2400. Auto select picked up my vehicle and took it to one of their known garages who did a carbon clean and changed the Turbo and regenerated the DPF. It all cost £1330. They paid the £1000 and I paid the shorfall. I was happy as couldnt afford such a large shortfall my garage quoted. The only issue I had was waiting on call backs from the repair department as they were always busy. But as I got my vehicle back within a week, I was happy.
I had a great experience with Auto Select Warranties. They were very professional and communicated excellently. The process was very straightforward. They asked me to have the car inspected to identify the issue and provide a diagnostic report, which I did. They covered the full amount, including parts and labour. Recommended them to anyone.
