I fell for the relentless BARA Facebook advertisements about their Mistery box. Don't be duped by any of it..The package took almost 2 months to get to Iceland from Norway. *The package was not sent from their warehouse untill I notified them that it had still not arrived. I was even told by their fb-message customer service that the long time it took was not on them but on the postal service, but I was tracking it and it had not even left their place at the time I contacted them. Customer support give me endless customer-handeling replies to diffuse blame and not once took responsibility for any of the bad customer service or misleading box ads of pretty sets of their most sought after items. If you plan to buy it as a ready made gift, don't.. it arrives in a bag, not a pretty box as shown in the video. If you buy it as a pretty work out set.. like in the advertisement then don't, it is only randomly mismatched clothings put in the bag.. not anything resembling a pretty set with radiant colors - nor is it items that go beautifully together in any way. More like the random clothes you put on to paint your apartment. 2 out of 3 Items in the "box" were more resembling items left over after a new years sale.. #1 A "Facebook blue" very large and baggy T-shirt (XXL? But with a medium size label)#2"Dirt brown" pants with two white plastic stripes around one ankle.#3A black "half front zipped" sports jumper. Could be cute pared together with the right items but when zipped up the zipper is just a tiny bit scratching at the neckline, so not very comfortable.I feel scammed and in the best case: was loads of money out of pocket for a large amount of time (something too close to 2 months) and alot of money spent on a import toll that is nonrefundable. Even though I can send the package back I will not get a refund on my just under 7þ icelandic kronas from the import-toll. *If they would at least offer a change in clothing items into something that is a semi-set or a full set like in the advertisement they had rerun non stop on fb.. an outfit that is at least fitting together as a set insted of a refund then maybe the import toll would not be out of my pocket for nothing!
I was stupidly tempted to order the mystery box. I know it is a mystery and nothing is guaranteed, but in the example they had 4 items as an example ( top, bottom, t shirt and hat). I thought it may be exciting to "gift" myself something unexpected.I received on pair of winter pants and a huge tshirt. It does align with the expectation created. ( 2 vs 4 items) Not a deal at all. In retrospect, I am not sure how this is actually managed. I think the quality of their clothing is excellent, but will never fall for such a special again. Buyer beware. I guess I had secretly hoped for a pattered legging, like the example. It is a misalignment of expectation vs reality. The order was severely delayed, but the customer service was good. They did support me ( a bit snarky at first, but very well later on. The quality is excellent but this will be my last order from them.
Dear Bara,I noticed your brand in one of the magazines whilst travelling and thought about giving it a go. It was a good first impression, but then things started to go wrong one after another. In my order confirmation email, the items I ordered were listed, but no sizes were mentioned (I am still wondering who is John Smith though mentioned in that email). 4 days later, I got a dispatch email where different sizes to the ones I ordered were listed. I reached out to Bara to confirm what exactly has been sent to me. They have sent me an invoice for somebody else's order with all their personal information (!). I flagged it up and got my invoice, thankfully with the correct sizes on. Confirmation that correct items were dispatched I had to chase again. It took 18 days to be delivered to the UK. But that’s ok, I was not in the rush and things with deliveries and customs do happen. Leggings were ok and I decided to keep them, but merino thermals were unbearable itchy on my skin and despite sizing down still too big. I decided to send it back. I have read all the return info on the website, followed it and paid for the return delivery. I have also provided Royal Mail with Bara email address and sent an email to Bara with tracking info. And then the worst started.A few weeks later I looked into it again and my parcel was still with customs in Sweden and said that if they need any more info they will contact the recipient (Bara). Bara told me nobody contacted them. I contacted customs and carrier myself and was advised that they need some extra contact information which Bara has not provided. I have forwarded this to Bara myself with list of all the info needed and email where it needs to be sent + copy of the correspondence with Postnord. There were multiple emails back and forth during which my direct questions were ignored, template copy paste messages sent again which were not relevant to my email, one email was in Norwegian (thanks to Google translate I was able to understand it) and I was blamed that I did not use Bara return label (which is never mentioned in their return info or provided). I am not sure if it was a language barrier or lack of attention to details, but the communication with Gly was exhausting. In the end I got an email that they will refund me and it also said that ‘For the rest of your order, you will receive the tracking information once shipped.’ Seriously? Again absolutely irrelevant text copied in.Your brand has a potential with unusual designs, but current level of customer service and difficulties with returns definitely is a barrier, and is a ‘no’ for me in relation to any future orders.I hope you will be able to resolve this! All the best!
Ordered something the 17th of March and its not sent yet, contacted them and was told it was a pre ordered item which they hadnt in stock yet, which I saw no where on the site when ordering it. When you order something that says for sale you expect to get it sortly, on other serious sites it says PRE ORDER when you try to buy it. I am experiencing no honesty here and when I ask when I can expect it, I get no answer to it...
