Didn't really expect to be buying a car but got a really good deal. Max was really good. Gave us plenty of time to make decision, sort money etc. Didn't go OTT on salesman nonsense. Big old car supermarket place, but quite a slick process. All about the deal, but nice to deal with good people too. Would recommend.
I bought my car from the Sheffield branch. The sales man was very nice, he was pushy but you could tell he was disappointed that i didn't not want or take finance, extra warranty, bodywork or interior protection. The car i bought has very low mileage [1600] and was a fab price. It still has its 3 year manufacturing warranty. It was a little dirty inside but once it was cleaned, its like new. I would use them again and would recommend this branch. All car sales places want you to buy finance and extras thats how they get their commission so people shouldn't be surprised, it takes a while to go through the speel.

I am extremely disappointed with the post-sale service at Big Motoring World. I am currently owed around £1921 for a refund on the Warranty and Extras which was confirmed in writing by their team on 09.02.2026
Despite having clear email evidence that the refund is "allowed" and "approved," the money has not been returned. Instead the bank accounts provided to them by my finance team have "bounced" the payment back. I've now given them my details and while being promised to be in my account yesterday, nothing has arrived.
I have sent multiple follow-ups and even issued a formal deadline for payment, which has been completely ignored.
It is unacceptable that a company of this size acknowledges a debt to a customer but refuses to pay it back. I have now been forced to:
Open a Section 75 claim with my car finance provider (who are jointly liable).
Prepare a formal complaint for the Financial Ombudsman Service.
If you are considering buying a car here, be aware that while they are quick to take your money for "extras," they are incredibly slow (or non-existent) when it comes to returning it.
Due to the after sales team being useless, I don't believe I will ever buy a car here again.
Not to mention my wife who was sold a car and the brake broke a week later.

The process from start to finish was very enjoyable and we were looked after by all very well indeed especially Peter who pulled out all the stops (5 stars) , I will definitely consider buying from here again.

Well organised showroom, with cars organised by make / size in order. Didn't make an appointment but they managed to accommodate me and my son. We test drove, part exchanged and drove away in his Audi in a just a few hours. Really helpful guidance by Jac, thanks!
I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I have recently received from Big Motoring World. The staff have been rude and dismissive when I asked simple questions about the car.
This is unacceptable, especially when making such an important purchase. I expect to be treated with respect and provided with clear information.
I had a pre-booked appointment with Big Motoring World, but I was not seen until two hours later. In hindsight, this should have been the first warning sign.
When I finally test drove the vehicle, the radio was turned up loudly and it was raining heavily, which unfortunately masked any potential mechanical noise. After purchasing and taking the car home, I discovered a significant and unacceptable loud noise every time I applied the brakes.
I contacted the aftercare team immediately and was advised to take the vehicle to Kwik Fit for a brake inspection. I did so and promptly forwarded their diagnostic report and quotation. This was disregarded, and I was told photographs were required. The company then arranged for the vehicle to be inspected by another garage. The second independent mechanic diagnosed the exact same fault as Kwik Fit.
Despite two consistent professional diagnoses, the aftercare team ignored the findings and instead booked the vehicle in for brake greasing. Both mechanics and I clearly explained that this would not resolve the underlying defect, yet I was required to make a third visit, causing further inconvenience. As expected, the fault remained unresolved after the greasing.
I am now being ignored by the company, with emails going unanswered.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, a vehicle must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. As the fault was present at the time of sale and has not been repaired within a reasonable time or without significant inconvenience, I have exercised my short-term right to reject the vehicle within 30 days of purchase and requested a full refund.
I am extremely disappointed with the handling of this matter and the lack of accountability shown throughout the process.
No response if call...complete ignorance...today is gonna be 4 th visit to showroom....no follow up...its been told that they gonna call me if finance an every thing goes well...all gonr well...its been more than a day....no onr is calling....i don't know whats wrong with ....y r they getting so much of upset thta i took finance from outside...
Cannot fault this place at all. No pushy sales man such a genuine guy who met all my needs and did not push for the higher price points instead working within my budget and not trying to deviate any higher. Thankyou so much milo excellent service and you have left one very happy customer 😊😊😊
