Review Time
This platform offers other businesses an opportunity to promote, advertise, and develop a customer base. They maintain high standards and are willing to suspend accounts that violate their policies. I appreciate that.
Yelp is creating profiles for my business using info from the internet. Then they post fake reviews and call you to sign up to fix your profile. Robert C. has posted fake reviews about my company and he works for yelp aka Robert Chung
I started a lawncare business, I registered my free yelp listing,it’s been a year they put $800 on my credit they say I owe them, talked to this Kevin guy he acted like he was going to get me a refund for a free business listing, There is nothing I can do about it they ripped me off not 1 call no messages, they said the would have a recording if I said I wanted to advertise Kevin couldn’t find a recording, spectrum, the water bill, garbage man cell phone if you owe them money they disconnect your service, racked me up to $800 I didn’t even no about This gotta be illegal, if anyone can give me some advice what to do,People don’t use Yelp
I don't think this company cares about its reviews that much. They call a business, and throw a bunch of lies about how a business doesn't pay until such and such happens. Then even if a potential customer does click on an ad a request a quote, they send that quote request to the competitors of that business, charge them for it, and the business has no control over communication with that "potential customer" How do I know this, I clicked on my ad and requested a quote. I got responses from my competitors! So even if my competitor's ad is not being shown on my page, any quote sent to my business is also given to my competitors. How do we know which message is legit? How many of my messages get sent to other companies, and how many of them do I pay for? How many messages do I pay for that were not intended for me? I said I wanted to generate more phone calls, yet the call to action button I have set up does not generate phone calls for my business. They say it's to protect the privacy of the company and customer. U hello, I am a business. The last thing I need is to hide my number for privacy issues. And last time I checked, my customer wasn't too concerned either. That's how doing business works. Have you ever called a company that answered, "How'd you get this number?" Or called a customer to confirm an appointment and got the response, "How'd you get this number?" Yelp is a rip-off and all the stories about extorting money are true. So true. Not one thing I wanted, and just a bunch of bells and whistles I specifically said I didn't want. I said I wanted smooth easy and all I wanted was more phone calls. I was assured I could "test drive" the service with a $300 ads budget. Only a small portion of that budget was used toward my bill. not only that, I was charged twice for the same month. Once on July 27th and again they tried to charge my card on Aug 1st. One for almost 300 and the other for 84. They lied and manipulated me and didn't do the thing I asked for. This is very anti competitive. while they give my prospective clients to the corporations, and throw me under the bus. Stay away fro this company!
Yelp are crooks! They lie using “promotions” and ended up taking $700 from me for a “free trial”. When I wouldn’t buy anymore of their packages they put a negative picture as my business wallpaper and said I could pay to chose any other picture. They also hid 90% of my reviews and called it helpful filtering. I would give them a 0 rating if I could.
Yelp sides with their customers to display inaccurate ratings. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page for a rated business you will see bad ratings not included in the displayed rating at the top. I'm sure they "reveal" this information somewhere, but it is less than honest. Sorry Yelp, you need to be yelped about.
