Have used Blinds Direct before. This time, we noticed a mistake in our order before it had been manufactured. The onlt trouble was, it was on a Sunday afternoon, after the 'phone lines were closed. However, their on-line after-sales service was exemplary and the issue was solved. Hats-off the Liam for patience and quick work. BEWARE of filling your the order without checking the "More Options" section, as this is where I made two mistakes - chain colour (which defaults to white plastic) and which side you want the controls on (defaults to the right). A really easy company to deal with!

I contacted Blinds Direct after one of our pleated blinds malfunctioned. I needed to confirm the dimensions and order a replacement, as our model seemed discontinued.
On checking my previous order the young lady said that It was still in warranty by about three weeks so it should be replaced free of charge. Could I forward some images of the failed blind, which I did.
I rang to confirm they had the images and was transferred to the correct section.
All the dimensions were confirmed and I made a choice of blind as near as possible to the failed unit.
The order was raised by the gentleman I spoke with and he advised there would be no charge also giving me an anticipated delivery date.
I received regular updates and the blind arrived yesterday in advance of the target date.
Amazingly the fittings of new blind are an absolute direct replacement for the failed unit, so it took me longer to unpack the blind than to fit it.
All covered under their totally honest and bombproof warranty.
Thank you so much Blinds Direct, for your helpful service and for honouring the warranty so close to its expiry.

I ordered 3 different colour samples and they were despatched immediately. I went on to order replacement slats for my existing vertical blind which arrived quickly. So easy to assemble and looks perfect. Very pleased with the finished look. Will recommend to family & friends.

Your instructional videos and adverts are sexist... They suggest that it's so easy to put up these blinds, even a woman can do it. They are also dishonest. The instructions say you only need a drill and a pencil, then ask you to hacksaw a bit of wood at the end. That bit of wood is the bit that covers the blind mechanism, it has a mitered edge and a flat edge and the box has additional pieces of mitered corners so you can have an outside the window frame fit... Why though because your asked specifically if your fitting the blind in or out the window frame when ordering and you give exact measurements under the impression it will come tailored to the measurements and requirements you gave. If I was doing an outside the window frame fit I would also need a mitering box tool. Then to top it off the video says after you've cut the bit of wood just put the clips in and clip it on... The clips add a cm or more to the top of the blind meaning that after drilling your brackets to the walls as high as you can like you were told, there isn't enough space to clip the piece on. Or you need to remove the blind from the bracket clip the piece on the front and then replace with it attached. Or like me force it on because the clips don't fit and scratch my paintwork which I then had to patch up.

I placed the order for 2 Venetian blinds on 8th Feb and was given an estimated date of 16th Feb. On 12th Feb I received an email saying that it was on track for 16th. On 16th afternoon I get an email stating that their supplier hasn't got stock of the materials. When I complained, I was told that their online system is not accurate and have been told the blinds will now be delivered on 9th March. I now have an irate fitter who I had to cancel at the last minute and given the track record, I am not confident of booking another fitter until I have received the items. Very disappointed with the service.

Poor, poor response after paying for sure fit.

Be very careful about the insurance. I ordered 2 window blinds and got all the measurement right, apart from the measurements on set of window clips. They then also sent the wrong size window clips for the other window. So, no clips were the right size. No problem right as I’ve paid for insurance. Think again…..I’ve have spent several exchanges trying to get new clips sent out. Wanted proof so I sent photos. One photo wasn’t enough, had to send a photo to prove all 8 clips were wrong size, then the picture wasn’t clear enough, need to make sure they were all in a line to prove they were all the same size, went on and on. Finally, then had to pay for them! The website says the insurance is no stress, no hassle…..not my experience at all. The clips are the cheapest part, pennies to replace and I’ve had to fight hard to get the right ones. Please, please be aware as apparently the insurance doesn’t cover ALL measurement errors.

I recently needed new vertical blinds for my office, and after receiving some free samples, placed an order. I was paranoid about getting the sizing wrong, so paid the small amount extra for SureFit insurance.

The blinds were made and delivered within the week, and sure enough, I had made a mistake with the measurements! And so with dread, I contacted customer services, fully expecting it to be a pain in the backside to get replacements. Not so! Shanelle at customer services couldn't have been more helpful, explained to replicate the order again online and they would do the rest.

Sure enough, less than a week later and I have the correct fitting blinds and they look brilliant. Will definitely be using Blinds Direct again, and will always makes sure to pay the extra for the SureFit!

After 2 days of no response I tried ringing again but after 20 minutes of waiting I hung up and filled in your e mail with pictures explaining the damage. Still no response todate. Not good service at all from your company and still i cannot hang any blinds. Hence this very poor rating.
