This company is an absolute joke. They provide a paid-for number 0370 5050 150 and then leave you sitting on hold for 30-50 minutes each time, If they answer, they then ring you off when placing the call on hold so that you have to start again. This is shameful! how is this even legal???

I wish I read the reviews before I even signed a contract with BMW.Customer service is non existent, the webpage is not working properly and yet a computer generated standard response to my complaint would tell me to do everything online. That has been going on for months. You can try a million times to ask for an actual real life human to communicate with you, good luck, it does not happen. All my details, my phone number are on file, obviously. Their hotline leaves you on hold for half the day. It is absolutely appalling to think a big company like BMW has zero respect for their customers.I have always had BMW cars overseas, for private use as well as for our company. I have never experienced any issues like I have here in the UK.
My agreement has only just started so I can only comment on the application and documentation process.The application process was simple as all documents were provided via email to view and e-sign. The only negative so far was that as the documents were viewed via email and on a relatively small screen it wasn't that easy to read the documents and the important elements.
Without a doubt the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to be involved with. They actively ignore any problem and we are over 12 months into compensation for a vehicle that we ended up being apart from for 8 months. Yes it really took 8 months for a repair and even after the Financial Ombudsman ruling against them, still nothing. I hope you read this and go to any other financial organisation.
Brought an BMW Electric vehicle and got stung by BMW finance as their contracts are unregulated and when things go wrong they are making excuses after excuses and do not want to take any liability. They listen to the dealership even when consumer laws are broken, and take their side even when lies are told. The whole set up is not consumer friendly and consumers should be warned to keep away from BMW finance. Their system of finance is designed to work against the consumers. Their contracts are one of the worst in the motor industry . Found out the hard way! Keep away from BMW vehicles and their finance sector. BMW finance are not interested in supporting the consumers when things go wrong! No longer a trusted brand as they are willing to accept BMW franchise dealerships who break UK laws and side with them for financial gains.
I got finance with this company In February 2024, everything was smooth sailing, when I was considering selling my car and getting rid of finance no matter how many times I rang up they give me settlement figures, when I actually sold my car 2 weeks ago, I sent the money over rang them and they told me they had received it, rang again a few days ago to ask for a letter to confirm I received that yesterday, went on my credit file today and it’s being settled, never had a issue with this company, very friendly staff.Thankyou!
Absolutely shocking service from BMW Financial services. Logged complaint as a guarantor on a company agreement 4 weeks ago and have had nothing acknowledgement back. When I phone to speak to escalations team on hold for ages to be told they cannot speak to me as I’m not the company director. That’s the whole point of the complaint!!! Have had to raise through the Financial Ombudsman as cannot get any sense from anyone within the escalations team. Terrible service
BMW finance / Alphera If I could give minus stars I would. I have never dealt with a company so bad in all my life, they are unbelievable bad. They don’t care about customers they don’t understand customer service, they repeatedly lie to you. The point blank refuse to speak to customers you literally need to beg to speak to your case handler. Please go elsewhere for your needs you would thank me later honestly I can’t believe what they have put me through the last few months, it’s disgusting.
