Review Time
I havent been able to contact anyone about sending my book back and getting a refund. I ordered this book amd the next day I got told I was switching classes. So i tried canceling iy and I couldn't get ahold of anyone then. Then it arrived finally and I wasnt able to get ahold of anyone again to send it back and get a refund. I have tried emailing and still nothing. If there is a place I'm missing to get ahold of these people, please let me know.
I needed this textbook for a class. I received the book I ordered in a timely manner, and the site listed it as being in “Very Good” condition. Upon opening the package, the book was completely separated from the hard cover. Since I’m on a college campus, I don’t have the resources to fix it. I wish that the book had been shipped in a box rather than a bag that could get thrown around and damaged.
The book I received was previously owned but in fantastic shape. I saved a significant amount by not purchasing a new one. The ordering process was straightforward, and I got my book even earlier than anticipated.
BEWARE... DO NOT TRUST THIS SERVICE AT ALL. Everything reported by customers on the review site is accurate. There seems to be only one representative handling everything, who might also be the owner. I sent in books valued at nearly 200 based on my initial quote, and they were all new and in their packaging before I shipped them. It's strange that only the high-value books worth $14 or more were deemed unacceptable and couldn't be returned. As a reasonable person, I investigated and discovered they claim the high-end books are unsatisfactory, only to sell them and use the proceeds to pay customers for other books they wish to keep from the same invoice. It's incredibly frustrating to find out that the same company that labeled my books as worthless sold them just to settle my account for other items. I have proof and will be pursuing legal action once I receive my tax refund for the retainer fee.
After 23 emails, during which BooksRun promised a refund, they renaged on their promise to refund, saying, "We would like to inform you that we are working on your case and have marked it as our high priority!Currently, we are expecting the response from another department".Sadly we experienced lies and procrastination, and did not receive the promised refund.The worst expeience in book-buying we have ever had, sadly
So far it has been a good experience. The book came with minimal damage and all the text is clear. The price is good for the service. Just wish the rental period started when you received the book instead of on the day you order it since that sucks up about a week of the rental time.
