Our journey to Scotland with Bunk Campers was fantastic, and we left feeling extremely pleased. The service provided was top-notch, with everything running seamlessly. We encountered a minor hiccup when it came to refilling the gas, as the technical support hotline didn't offer much assistance. Yet, apart from that small setback, everything else was spot on. The process of picking up and dropping off the vehicle was swift and hassle-free, thanks to the courteous and professional team. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would wholeheartedly endorse Bunk Campers.
The vehicle itself is great, but the assistance regarding the battery was lacking. After three calls and an hour and a half on the phone, we could have faced serious issues. There was no heat inside for half the trip during cold weather, and the response was merely a 10% discount on a future trip, which felt like a joke.
We had a fantastic experience with a relocation deal, and the campsites provided discounts. The campers were clean and well-maintained, plus they welcomed pets. My dog, who loved sitting in the captain's seat, also enjoyed the trip. We're already planning our next adventure. Five stars!
Some minor issues affected the experience. There was a problem with the hot water system that took about 30 hours to resolve, only to find out it takes 30 minutes to heat up and one shower uses it all. Charging devices requires being plugged in, which isn't ideal for freedom camping. Disposing of black water became increasingly difficult throughout the trip. Supermarket parking often doesn't accommodate larger vehicles. Essentials like dish soap and toilet paper weren't provided. We also experienced a flat battery for no clear reason, which the mechanic thought might be related to the fridge. The beds and front seats were very comfortable, and driving was enjoyable, but I wouldn't choose this again.
The representative in Edinburgh was very friendly and helpful during both pickup and drop-off. I loved his festive hat! The off-hours support was great when our heater malfunctioned, as there was a recurring issue with the window contact above the heater exhaust valve that caused it to turn off repeatedly during our trip.
Everything was seamless from the moment I picked up the van until I dropped it off. I loved the van I stayed in, and everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. I will recommend this service to anyone and will definitely return for another trip.
