Following a recommendation, we contacted Burke & Wills to help us move house from North London to South London. Mark scheduled a video call to conduct a survey of our home and work out how many people and what size vehicles would be needed for the job. He then provided a written quote for a full packing service, removal and transport to new home and unloading of goods to the required rooms. After getting several quotes with similar prices, we opted for Burke & Wills. Mark, Amy and Billie-Jane in the office answered any questions we had and were friendly and professional both over the phone and via email.The packing and removal service was planned over 3 days. The crews, led by foreman Ricky, turned up on time each day. They listened to any requests we had and they also asked us questions as they packed. They packed boxes well and labelled them clearly, disassembled bulky furniture items, and also had no issue packing up the contents of our loft, shed, garden and greenhouse (which some companies said they would not do). Vehicles that were loaded on days 1 and 2 were stored in their secure lock-up, and all three vehicles arrived at our new house on day 3. The team unloaded all boxes quickly, delivered them to the rooms we requested, and reassembled furniture.In total we had one lorry and two Luton vans worth of belongings to transport. During the process (most likely transit), three pieces of furniture did sustain minor damage (two had a small scratches and one had a small scuff). We contacted the office to inform them of this damage; they apologised and agreed to provide some compensation, despite us not having opted for any specific insurance for the move, which we really appreciated. It is worth mentioning that A LOT of fragile, home-made pottery was packed very securely, with no breakages at all!After we unpacked most of our belongings over the next few weeks, we called the office to organise a free collection of the empty, collapsed boxes and packing paper, which they fulfilled the day after. In summary, Burke & Wills took a lot of stress out of our house move. The office staff and crew were lovely people, incredibly helpful and good at their jobs. We would definitely use them again - although we hopefully won’t be moving for a very long time!

I am proud to say I chose this firm well and was completely satisfied. Even in difficult situations they reassured me that the issue would be dealt with! And they did offer the complete package … I just sat back and let it all happen. Billie-Jane was my contact in the office and was kind, understanding and supportive. Many a time she calmed me and reassured me! I am glad I had her at my side. The packing team, Karol, Connor and Luke worked away quietly and efficiently. The guys from Burke and Wills came on time, were polite and professional, and worked hard all day. They packed our things into their van very carefully and nothing was broken or damaged in transit. I wouldnt hesitate to use them again or recommend them. Thank you for helping make a stressful day go much more smoothly than anticipated!
